During the season, he did mention he would like to play here with our big man, Yao. He's exactly what we need regardless of what happens to Cato. I'm sure he'd love to play with either Stevie or T-Mac. I'd still like for us to hold on to Cat since they are both from Philly and seem to be good friends. We would have a very solid core with those four players starting. All we'd need is a somewhat experienced PG and we might even be the(hate to say it) favorites. Yao Sheed T-Mac Cat ?? Also, there are seveveral PG's with good playoff experience that are all FA. Just to name a few: Anthony Peeler Bob Sura (combo guard) Steve Nash Troy Hudson Damon Jones Lindsey Hunter Rafer Alston Kenny Anderson Marquis Daniels
1. he's a free agent. 2. we're over the cap. 3. detroit has enough money to re-sign him. 4. detroit just won the championship. 5. if he'd take less money to leave the world champions, he's entirely too stupid to want on your roster.
not so fast, he's already stated he may not be back next season he also stated that the Knicks do intrest him and they have less cap than we do
he just won a championship. Whatever was said was long before anyone thought Detroit would thump L.A. Things change, and i wouldn't bank on him going anywhere.
the difference is New York could care less about the cap. They'll sign him regardless if they can. I still highly doubt he'll leave the Pistons, but if he does, the Knicks or possibly the Lakers are really the only teams that could possibly lure him away. They're the only teams with enough spot light to possibly have anything to offer over the defending world champions.
1. Wants more money than we can offer. 2. Most likely will stay with DET, they have the $$ and they just won the whole thing. 3. I. Thomas is really interested in Sheed for the Knicks. If they can get Charlotte to take A. Houston, it will make it even easier.
Wrong personality to put along side Yao. Remember we are trying to build a team that is compatible with one another.
They can't get Bobs to take AH. And if they somehow could they would still only be able to offer their MLE, assuming Joe D says 'no' to a Sign n Trade. Oh, and supposedly Nike will pay Kobe a fortune if he takes NY's MLE.
