We lost. We will probably lose again until McGrady comes back. We need to stop complaining and look for positives. Yao finally had a nice game. At least we know he doesn't suck THAT MUCH. Im happy our fans supported the team in the final minutes and wasn't silent like the most of the game. Losing = Better Draft picks. We need a younger team anyway. We are already one of the oldest teams in the league. The Rockets will start to win their games when T-Mac comes back and if they don't, OH WELL! Complaining will not change anything. We had a nice comeback against the Bulls and almost got the W but Yao fouled out so we had no one to protect the inside against easy layups. . Lets just hope we don't become the new Texans but i don't think that will happen. Last year we went 6-11 which is not that good and we ended up 51-31 so you never know... Lets look on the brightside guys...
Well, all we have to do is win the next 3 games at home. Atlanta, Memphis, and Boston, and then we're back to 6-11. If from there we end up 51-31, i'll take it.
Only positive I can see is that in this 7 game losing streak many of them were less than 10pts. So, with TMAC...he would easily score more than 10pts giving us wins.
Positives: Head has quickly established himself as our future Point guard. Team has been pretty Competitive despite missing tracy. Negatives: Our Primter defense is horrible. opposing guards are burning our Primeter defenders off the dribble way to easily. puts alot of pressure on the Interior defender. The only saving grace here is, that hopefully were only gonna improve with the addition of tracy.
As long as its still early, it works. And if that excuse doesn't cut it, how about the fact that we don't have our best player out there... the guy we've built the team around. Sure, that doesn't excuse the team to lose EVERY game without him, but I would expect at least a losing record. Also, remember... the 96-97 Spurs were hampered by a season-long "nagging back" injury to David Robinson.. 10 years, and 1 Tim Duncan later, they've won 3 titles and are the model for all NBA teams. (of course, this is a last-resort/extreme light at the end of the tunnel scenario).
positives? 1) the play of Moochie Norris 2) Luther Head's emergence as a reliable scorer and ballhandler 3) us allowing only 6.1 points per game in transition 4) still being a tough-nosed defense; top 3 in the NBA
positive: we dont have mike james anymore we have our starters on the bench, but sooner or later they just have to come thru we have the ASG in our home town this year
