There are some many good things that happened this season.
    1. The Rockets record improved
    2. Stevie has blossomed this season
    3. Cleared cap room to sign a premier player like Webber
    4. Creamed the Utah Jazz!!!

The list goes on... Lets finish the seaon on a good note and get some good players during the off season to make a title run next year.

Even though these losses hurt, I have to admit that this was a good season. If things went as good in the first half as they did in the second, we'd be at least 7th or 8th seed. We also can't forget that this team is still somewhat rebuilding. They made a great improvement over last year. Whether or not we make the playoffs this has been a good season.

not saying the season is over.. BUT, we got to be realistic too. it would be awesome if they make it to the playoff but the chances are really slime. Making 4 games in 11 games? Has that ever happened in basketball before? It will take a meltdown by Minnesota, who have shown that they have been pretty consistent ALL season.
If the rockets make it to the playoffs, great
If the dont, well they had a really good season.

Usually I'm as optimistic as anyone, and y'all are right, the season ain't over, but I personally am getting tired of these "everything is rosey, let's look on the bright side" topics. I'm still pissed, you should be too. Be a man, vent it. Or at least wait a day before you post this kind of topic.

How about the Rockets completely owning the East? That was one hell of a positive.

That's showing a lot of optimism there UNT2003. So, the Suns are a better team, a..huh.. Who's the pessimist (i can't spell either) ? Saying the rockets made mistakes that costs them in a game they could of won is not pessimism. Venting is not pessimistic. You can't just say they're doing great no matter what happens. Optimism is good, but too much of it becomes ignorance. Besides, it's been almost 12hrs now, let's move on. I still think they could and should've won, but that's history. 9-1 I'm calling it now.

    6. Once we beat Atlanta one more time, we'll have swept the Central Division. Sweeping a division was only done once before, by the '83 WC champion Lakers.

    I like the fact that

    1) Mobley turns out to be better than I expected. I thought he was at most another Jerry Stackhouse, but now I think he is better.
    2) Steve improves.
3)Hakeem has done wonderful things this season.
    4) Rockets are going to have more wins than predictions in all the media I have read.
    5) We break many losing streaks.
    6) Rockets won in their only national telecast. I never had a roommate who is also a Rockets fan. Can you imagine my suffering in the past years when Rockets kept losing on NBC? I had to tolerate their comments on how good the Rockets' opponents were all the time.

How is whining and b****ing about the coaching staff being a man?

I'm middle of the road on the optimist/pessimist scale. I think constant whining about the same things (Cato, Cat, Rudy T, and Walt) is pretty annoying, but I also think the "believe" threads are kind of stupid too.

We need more haiku threads. [IMG]

(WOW I JUST SAW SOMEONE BROUGHT BACK THE HAIKU THREAD RIGHT AFTER I TYPED THAT, time to get some lotto tickets)

I'm happy. We're a young team, and I expected some inconsistency. I think we're gonna have a 12 game improvement from last year, and that's progress.
