Yeah, that pretty much explains this thread. Sorry, I don't find this offensive or anything (that being said, yes I'm Jewish), but why do I feel like I'm someone being forced into their religion because of missionaries??? Also, the second I saw the words: Billy Graham, I knew this thread was going to hell (no pun intended). Oh, I think this belongs in the Debate/Discussion thread as well.
Why do Christians think God is so freaking mean? I could punch my mother in the face (shudder), and she'd forgive me and still love me unconditionally. Don't you think God is at least that loving?
no one is forcing you into religion... you know what... sometimes we shouldnt care about religion.. is cool that you are jewish... i have nothing against that... but why should we have a religion when we know God is true... me loving god is all i want...
Actually, yes, I am, at that sentence above. I too have my doubts about the biases and tendencies of the media, but comparing it to the Bible as a source of proven accuracy? Hmmmm....Stick to the blind faith argument, I say. It seems to work better for me.
I'm definitely laughing. So what's the explanation for the Crusades, the Plaque, slavery, the Kennedy assasination etc.? Can we blame those on God? That sounds like a fair trade there.
This story is a fake (mostly) - read codell's link above Also, don't go around believing (and spreading) every stupid email hoax you find. .... and especially don't litter bbs's with this junk. -- droxford
Religion is underrated. I personally am not a religious guy. I have never gone to church other than for weddings or funerals. Heck, I have never even been baptised. However, I feel that the underlying messages behind most organized religions are good things and are worth adopting as a personal philosophy. Even if you don't believe in god, the whole idea of doing unto others and being caring, sharing and loving is an admirable goal.
MAN... this is to make you think.. i dont care about the story behind it.. obviously you didnt get it.. its the message behind it... I MEAN I CAN CARE LESS ABOUT THE STORY... THATS NOT THE POINT... its the message.... i dont care about the stupid link..
If you punched your mom in the face I would kick your ass. And if I punched my mom in the face my mom would shoot me with her .38 She didn't read the Spock book.

She's as big a moron as her old man. Whether she said it or not, the story is consistent with what Jerry Falwell and Pat Robertson said along the same lines.
