Chuck Hayes appreciation thread, he plays such an important role in our team. Chuck was able to shut down Spencer the other night and Dirk tonight.
yeah chuck played excellent D. I love when chuck's on the floor because I know the big men are going to struggle. (check out his studly +/-) Also. AB played out of his mind today. amazing.
Luis was getting rocked by Dirk all night. Great D by Chucky coming off the bench. He didnt stop Dirk completely but definitely got the guy outta his rhythm. He just needs to learn how to dunk the ball.
His D is top notch, his O is nonexistant, and his Freethrows....I mean what is there to say about that? I am glad he is on our team, he is a nice solid defensive player....... DD
Haha, the funny thing was, when I was watching the game at the bar I was thinking the same thing the whole time. Wanted to rush home and tell someone to make a thread as chuck hayes appreciation. I was surrounded by my mav fan friends and I pointed out everytime that Hayes was on Dirk. I said "LOOK AT THAT SICK D BAYBEE " haha, much love chuck
Dirk has always got the BS calls from the refs. He plays them well. Scola seemed to be the only one that seemed to be affected by the back to back. He is very capable of playing much better than he did tonight. We got the win so it doesn't matter. We also cant forget that its just the second game of the season.
artest, hayes, and battier ... i love it. they can guard the 2's, 3's, and 4's and sometimes the pg's too. hayes really needa ditch everything about his shot and learn how to shoot right though. it's just not right.
if someone could post a video of his defense in the second half, i would be so happy. it would make people realize how he literally shuts everyone done. i will trade a couple blown layups for unbelievably good post defense anyday.
Chuck got robbed on a free throw. Come of refs, he can't help shifting his foot forward. Don't penalize him for that.
I am a reformed Hayes fan. I hated on the guy a few years ago. He is a phenomenal defender with tremendous work ethic and good basketball IQ. Given what we pay him, he is one of the best values in the entire league. Good defense is crucial.
