Is there anyway of getting Steve Nash? Nash, Tmac and Yao would be a dynamic trio!!!

I would do a sign and trade to get Nash.

I was thinking something along the lines of Spoon, Wilks, and future considerations.

But if Boki is included in that deal, count me out.

I'm going to assume that you're 12 and have no idea how anything works in the NBA other than the most basic of rules (e.g. must dribble the ball, must stay in bounds).

He may not be as talented, but he's a better PG by far. His defese sucks though.

Anyways, Nash is a FA, he'll go where the money and a chance to win is.

Oh yeah Steve Nash will love the slow it down limit the possesion play defense still of ball that JVG implements.

Nash is good and all but just because he is a FA doesnt mean we must sign him. Having stars or near-stars at every position doesnt mean an automatic championship its about chemistry, it always has been. Building around your 1 or 2 stars is the ideal blueprint for winning. Nash would do horribly in Houston even IF he came here for real cheap. he is going to stay in dallas thats for sure or get shipped to LA with dirk i dont know but i dont plan on seeing a rockets jersey anytime soon with steve nash in it

    rez funny stuff man..

actually I would like SNash on this team too.. I think hes a dead eye shooter and can control the tempo of the game while finding his teammates. His defense is weak but that may be due to the Mavs. culture in general of having no defense.

Nice one there, seems that since 2002 you've been able to accumulate 56 of these kinds of posts, but I can see why you don't do it too often.

If you were a Dallas fan I'd try and defend Steve, but in this case you are dead wrong as far as efficiency goes. The Rockets do not need a PG that has a 42 inch vertical but the worst Asst/TO ratio in the NBA. On the other hand, the Rockets could use a PG that can hit the outside shot consistently, provides veteran leadership, and can disk the rock. These are all things that Steve Nash does well, but he's not the best defender. However, I'd feel confident in Van Gundy's ability to transform him into a decent defender. That is one thing Don Nelson does not know how to coach or at least he doesn't emphasize it.

Why is Steve Nash better for the Rockets? Well, he shoots an impressive 66% from the field for his career, and averages 8 APG. Also, he's ranked #6 in the NBA in Asst/TO ratio. Yes he's a little older, but I think he would be a beautiful addition to this kind of team. He's not a selfish player and that was proven in Dallas when he let Dirk and others take the spotlight. He does his job quitely but effectively.

With all that being said, he's not coming to Houston :D

One day I was sitting around drinking White Russians and eating 'shrooms when the thought occured to me:

"Hey, why don't we have Yao, T-Mac, Nash, KG, and Shaq on the same team?"

But then I realized that the Chinese would never allow that because Shaq's shoes are made in Korea, and we all know that the Chinese fought the Koreans in the War of 1812 and it was a bloody, bloody conflict filled with blood. But the whole thing blew my mind, man.

Wait, didn't Nash waive off Dirk in a crucial playoff game, to take the last shot himself?
