kings wanna trade artest and bibby. if they trade bibby to someone else (cavs should have done the bibby/gooden deal), then we can give them rafer and maybe kirk for ron. yes he's a headcase but he seemed ok under rick..imagine 2 defenders with him and shane? we can interchange them.

we still have brooks, steve, and james at pg. would you go for it?we need size, seemed like we were too little against the grizzlies and lakers...

You trade is like a rob. remind you: Rafer has negative value.

    I'd offer Battier for Ron.

    Battier Artest revisited.

Artest, enigmatic to say the least, would bring that tenacity we lack. That junkyard attitude we are searching for, and only finding really in Chuck Hayes.

Why would the Kings trade Artest for Battier straight up? Artest is clearly the better player. You'd have to offer a guard to them. Probably a really good one too. Francis comes to mind. To get Bibby, you'd have to offer an equivalent player? Umm we don't have anyone. Sorry.

 How are you gonna get Artest for Rafer? If Morey somehow did that I would bow down to him...Buts its not gonna happen.

If Morey wants Artest he would probably have to trade Batter and maybe an extra player

I would offer Alston and Battier for Artest just to see if the Kings would hang up on us or not. But I would guess that there would be a 99.9% chance of them hanging up on that offer.

Much as I hate to say it, I think you're right. I've never wanted to bring in Artest in the past, but I'm starting to think this high-octane (in theory, at least) Rockets squad is still too soft to make any playoff noise -- especially if Francis can't find it in himself to work his way off the bench.

Half of me wants to think that for us, adding Artest could be like adding Rasheed was for the Pistons. The big difference, though, is that Rasheed is a talented hothead, while Artest is a talented *psycho* hothead.

Adelman did not leave Sactown on good terms with the Maloofs. They won't do anything to help the Rockets.

why not trade Rafer for the whole Kings team. They should be appreciated cuz they got a bonus: A free brand new masonry stadium.

I'd love Artest...if the price is right. Remember, he is a FA at the end of the year I believe, and we do not want to be without Artest or Battier come next year.

I think Alston, Brooks, Head, a draft pick and maybe another scrub deep on the bench could possibly do it. They need youth as they are ready to rebuild around Kevin Martin, and Head and Brooks have some nice upside, as will a draft pick. In this case, our lineup would look like this-

    James/Francis
    T-Mac/Bonzi
    Artest/Battier
    Hayes/Scola
    Yao/Deke

Personally I'd love Artest because he is a LOCKDOWN defender that is strong enough to play substantial minutes at PF if need be. Battier is a terrific defender, but is not the kind of player that will mentally take you out of the game like Artest. What he also does that Battier doesn't is get a lot of steals without sacrificing his man to man defense, thus igniting fast breaks fofr a team that tends to struggle with easy baskets. Offensively Battier has shown he is a solid player, but not a great fit with this team, thus he is better suited for the bench...Artest, on the other hand, is extremely versatile offensively, and gives the same mismatch problems as Bonzi does, but gives you a much better jumpshot and more versatility.

But, as I said...has to be at the right price. And if we are to trade away Battier, Artest should be forced to agree to a contract extension.

time to let battier go artest does everything he does just better.

He shouldn't be here anyway I'm still pissed about the rudy gay for battier trade. battier stats do not compare to rudy's. This is just his 2 season he will get better.
