Positivity, okay: At least Vancouver won't get our pick this year. Tom Gugliota, after a year of pain, must be feeling his best! Francis got to get some much needed rest in the fourth quarter. And lastly, you all have a reason to bash me again. Wooo hooo! ------------------ Re-elect President Gore!
Of course it hurts. Winning this game would have been big. But coming into this game I did not expect a win. I even feared, this being away game, and with Dream out, it would not even be close. But we were in it all the way - most of the time kicking Suns butcould not hang on - disappointing - but still a lot of positives out from this game. We did better than I predicted (and feared) and still is on pace to get into the playoffs (I believe Wolves will not make it) and we'll battle Suns for 7th seed - think it will be close but I can't see why we should not be able to pass them also. Nothing is changed - We will contend for a playoff spot - and I believe we will make it. As I've said earlier - winning this game would have been big - as we also would have added a loss to Suns - but they will have to battle a much harder schedule than us - and we will get plenty of opportunities to catch them. Of course our home game to Suns is a must win to catch them (or as close to a must win as you can get), but even that is not crucial to get into the playoffs. The only crucial thing is you can only have 7 Western teams win more than you (and in case of tiebreakers - you might need the 9th to loose more than you) ------------------ We can reach our destination, but it's still a ways away.
I hear you, Valio. That was a tough, tough loss, but I KNOW the Rockets can make it. Phoenix and Minnesota still have a much tougher row to hoe, and we only need one of them to drop. But the Rockets aren't at the mercy of Phoenix, Minnesota or any other team. I believe the Rockets will finish strong and seal that 7th, 8th seed. I BELIEVE! Remember '95! Woo hoo! ------------------
