you guys lets be realistic here with FA next year. As much as i hate to say it Chris Webber is not coming to houston. All the talk is a pipe dream. He is on a contending team as it is. Remember when he could have left Sacremento he didnt claiming that he liked the up tempo style of game. i say we keep all our posts realistic for know on. I think that the only way the rockets are going to get a top FA pf is through the draft in years to come or if they pull of some rockets magic. i also think that if you have information then you should share it with all of us, otherwise dont say anything about you have information, but im supposed to keep my mouth shut.that just drives all of us insane cause we are all rockets fans and want to know stuff. I hold no grudge against anyone who has kept quiet just wanted to speak my mind. GO ROCKETS ------------------
One of the most obvious facts in the NBA. Unless Jason Williams undergoes a major transformation the Kings will NEVER win with him at PG. ------------------ When I die I want to go peacefully like my grandfather. Not screaming like the passengers in the back seat!
carl, 3 posts. Junior Member. Already you telling veteran posters how to behave, and to post exactly what they know? There are some legalities regarding what can be considered public knowledge and what must be kept secretive. The people that have sources know exactly what they are doing and are "keeping their mouths shut" for legal reasons. If there was no worries about the legal implications of spilling-the-beans then I can gurantee, that all the information anyone knew about trades, transactions etc. etc. would be posted here first ('cos CC.net is the best!!). I think there will be a few replies that aren't as nice as this one in response to your stance on that issue. As for Webber not coming to Houston. Now correct me if I am wrong, but you contradicted your self by saying firstly: <quote>As much as i hate to say it Chris Webber is not coming to houston</quote> and then saying: <quote>or if they pull of some rockets magic</quote> So if Webber came to Houston that would be some Rocket magic? But he is never coming to Houston? Now with all that out of the way, Welcome to CC.net carl ------------------ C'mon, lets get Chuck that ring.
chuck, for one thanx for the welcome. Reguarding the whole C-Webb thing...i was simply saying that we are not going to get C-Webb next year via FA unless the rockets pull of a miracle (rockets magic). But you are right about the veterans of cc.net thingy. MY BAD. Everyone has my respect and i hope to be posting lots of other posts. GO ROCKETS! ------------------
Jason Williams will become a more effective player with experience and consistency. Sacramento not winning against LA was because they did not have an effective SG or SF to make Bryant expend energy on defense.
Well, Webber said some interesting things about playing in Houston, but I'm sworn to secrecy. Besides, I want to trade for Kevin Garnett or Vince Carter anyway. ------------------ No signature for you!
I think what carl was trying to say was that if you can't tell us the info you have, don't tell us you even have info. I know that makes me crazy trying to figure out what it is. ------------------
I have some info about Crisco's mamma, but I am not allowed to say anything. ------------------ rimbaud post-a-thon 2000
when I was having lunch with MJ the other day (he likes me to call him 'Mr. M') he told me some funny things about... uhhh, nevermind. but geez laweez! him!??! there!?! ------------------ get it Tag, get it! - a Jazzhole asking Greg Ostertag to rebound the ball.
I read in the paper a while back that Sacramento got Kevin Johnson to teach Jason Williams and to work with him. So pretty much, he's going to tell j-dub to quit jackin up all them shots. Maybe it'll work. ------------------ treasurer of the moochie norris fan club
Carl, granted I have no sources, but I think Webber coming here isn't that far-fetched. Not trying to be hard on you, much you may have made your reaction too quick. Consider some of the following about us: Next year we will be under the cap. With some schrewd moves (dumping Walt, being tight with our money untill the right deal comes along), maybe way under. Next year we will BY FAR be the most promising team under the cap. We have the best young group of smaller players (1-2-3) in the league to surround Webber with, and a defense oriented center. Our front office has great respect in the league. Consider some of the following about Chris's situation: Sacremento still hasn't advanced past the 1st round in any playoffs EVER (expectations can kill). Sacremento has key players sinking in effectiveness faster than the Titanic (including 3 starters--Divoc, Anderson & Corliss). Their point guard isn't a controlled player. Chris is still single, and in Sacremento. Chris is fickle. Wait and see the heat if Sac doesn't finally win a playoff series (exactly who are they going to beat next year???) or gets knocked out of the playoffs (they would be the leading candidate for being knocked out of the 8th spot--perhaps by us, Dall or Vanc--as they will not be as good as the top 7 (LA, Port, Utah, Phoe, Minn & Sea). You put all these peices together, I think we have a realistic enough chance at Webber worth talking about. ------------------ "The Rockets were ahead of the Suns by 20 late in game 2 of the series, but when the going got tough, we just Pippened . We would not be done in the series though."
