On April 15, be part of the Taxed Enough Already (TEA) party rally in your community On April 15, be part of the Taxed Enough Already (TEA) party rally in your community On the day you pay your taxes, Wednesday, April 15, join others across the country and in your hometown who will be participating in TEA party rallies in front of their city halls. The TEA party rally will begin at 12 noon. See this video - the momentum is growing! Are you fed up with a Congress and a president who: * vote for a $500 billion tax bill without even reading it? * are spending trillions of borrowed dollars, leaving a debt our great-grandchildren will be paying? * consistently give special interest groups billions of dollars in earmarks to help get themselves re-elected? * want to take your wealth and redistribute it to others? * punish those who practice responsible financial behavior and reward those who do not? * admit to using the financial hurt of millions as an opportunity to push their political agenda? * run up trillions of dollars of debt and then sell that debt to countries such as China? * want government controlled health care? * want to take away the right to vote with a secret ballot in union elections? * refuse to stop the flow of millions of illegal immigrants into our country? * appoint a defender of child p*rnography to the Number 2 position in the Justice Department? * want to force doctors and other medical workers to perform abortions against their will? * want to impose a carbon tax on your electricity, gas and home heating fuels? * want to reduce your tax deductibility for charitable gifts? * take money from your family budget to pay for their federal budget? If so, participate in the TEA party rally, the Taxed Enough Already (TEA) party. Bring your cell phone and call Congress and the president while attending the TEA party rally (Representative and Senators, 202-224-3121; President, 202-456-1414). Tell Every American about this effort by forwarding this invitation to your friends. Together we can make a difference.
How many of the people at this event are actually getting a tax break because of Obama's tax plans? If it's like the rest of America, almost all of them will be paying less taxes under Obama than they paid under Bush.
Why do the fiscal responsibility rangers* only come out to play when there's a Democrat in the white house? *credit to samfisher, esq.
I was here during the Bush years and didn't much care for his moderate ideals. When he passed the prescription drug program I thought that was a terrible idea. The wars I backed since we had to attack the terrorists on their own turf. But you do realize that Obama has almost spent more money in his first sixty days then Bush did in his entire two terms.
No he hasn't. This isn't even remotely true and is one of the absolute dumbest things if you even think about it for 10 seconds. You still need to stop getting news from garbage sources. Do some basic math yourself.
Hey, come on down to Austin for the T-party! All of us Teasips ... and people of lesser schools ... need to hoist a cup together and settle this with good old arm-wrestling match! On a serious note, a taxpayer tea party could prove helpful in clarifying fair and un-fair taxation and fiscal policy.
Hopefully they don't harass any media covering them, like in Cincinnati . And hopefully they don't resort to racist taunts against a lone counter protester, like in Cincinnati. http://www.citybeat.com/cincinnati/blog-548-a-rallys-mean-streak.html
I don't buy most of the positions set out in post above but I am all for citizens expressing their discontent with government creatively and peacefully.
I suggest everyone in your group bring a mirror so you can claim attendance of at least 20 people. Later you can use the mirror for reflection.
don't you mean see the thousands or attendees. if the media was doing its job people would know that literally thousands of protestors have showed up to EACH event held in cities all over the US.
Uhm I said "almost" not "surpassed". And he indeed has almost spent as much deficit spending. 2 trillion and counting with another trillion already on the drawing board and God only knows what is in his budget plans and what the congress will add as pork.
A couple of these things aren't remotely tax-related. I think it's a tactical mistake to make this a partisan event. Is that on a cash-basis, or accrual?
Didn't the Wall Street Journal finally come clean and admit that the secret ballot is not being taken away by the new act?
