During the Laker game, ESPN made a telling statistic about our players. Besides Yao and Barrett (non previous NBA teams), Pretty much ALL of the players came from LOSING organizations

    Mo T- Clippers
    juwan- Magic
    Tmac- Magic
    Jon Barry- Hawks
    Wesley- Hornets
    Sura- Hawks
    Mutombo- Knicks

Many of them were put in unfortunately situations but it does say something about this team.. How are we suppose to win when none of our players have won before and probably dont know how...

Maybe! But it also could be that they don't know how to win, or just used to losing?:(

Barry has a winning record (all time)

Tmac carried a team to the playoffs by himself

Deke was on the only 8th ceed to beat a 1st ceed in the playoff

... but the rest of those guys came from some poor, poor teams.

That being said, I think that Sura, Barry and Wesley appear to be hungry (and Howard seems to at least be trying to help)... as for Mo T, that is another story

Prior to this season, Wesley's Hornets have been @ or above .500 his whole career.

i suspect that some of the rest, like Deke, Howard, TMac, Barry and Sura have been on some winning teams.

You know, I'm liking this team alot more now, sure it's probably just that they are winning more but even Yao is not as hateable recently. Yao just has to play within himself and we have to accept him for what he is and stop wishing he was Shaq or Dream and just let him be Yao. Alone he may never dominate but I belive that as part of TMAC's crew he can help the Rocket's be a dominant force. After all, I think most all of us care about is Rox wins not how it gets done or who scored most any given night.

/has no idea what he's talking about

He said "winner" -- not "wiener."

if Wesley and Barry (and Sura) start playing the way they did last year mid season not only will you not miss JJ... you will forget he was ever a Rocket

That's one of the things that bothers me about JVG. One of the first things he said when he came here was that he definitely knows the "winner" players in this league and the "losers".

He almost only brought in losers, though.

Barry was on Denver last year...playoffs
Sura was a Piston until trade deadline...NBA Champs
Wesley was a Hornet...multiple playoff appearances
Mutombo...leader of only 8th seed to beat a 1 seed.
T-Mac was on Orlando and Toronto playoff teams

    What again was your point?

deke- 8th beat 1st with nugz, multiple playoffs with hawks, finals with 6ers

sura- doesn't matter where he was, he plays to win.

    wesley- multiple playoffs with hornets

barry- kings, pistons, nuggets, everywhere he's been had the best bench in the nba.

tmac- big part of toronto's playoff runs, and carried the magic there aswell.

yao- we haven't been a bad team since we got him + a playoff year.

the only players holding us back is Jho and mo. they are nice guys and they try but i don't think they know how to win. when they are gone and replaced by a rebounder we will take off.
