I think that when Tmac gets back, he will lead this team to the playoffs. If we happens to play against an un-experience team, we could probably beat them with a healthy Tmac on our team.

To be honest everyone, I don't think Morey will get rid of Tmac. I think the best thing for us is to resign Tmac after this season with a reasonable contract. Because he is the best talent we can get our hands on. He is the guy that can lead this team. Yao is a good player but he cannot lead this team. Sure he is hard to find and there is no one like him out there, but just him by himself is pretty much vulnerable.

I know Tmac has one bad season with this Rockets team but just look at how he lead this team all the seasons before. He is our man. The reason why we never got out of the first round is because this team sucks. Against Mavs, we were horrible to begin with. Against the Jazz....We had Luther head as our sixth man and Yao couldn't do anything against the Jazz in the playoff and Tmac was the only one that kept us in the series.

Let's be honest everyone....I know most of everyone here thinks that Yao helps us win games way more than Tmac. But let's say this, during that 22 win streak, lets switch out Tmac for Yao, could Yao led us to that 22 win streak instead of Tmac?

Yao really didn't lead us to the 2nd round. It was Artest and the rest of our team. Yao was just complimentary

You are kidding right? Yao being complementary in the 1st round against portland? Lol

Without Yao, you think artest, shane, brooks etc...would get nearly as much open look? Scola in particular...he played incredible in that series. Why? Yao was fronted and they sent another player behind him. It was a constant double team. Scola was left wide open 90% of the time from the free throw line extended...that is why he was shooting so well. I am not saying our players were not important or they were not playing great...but you saying Yao did not lead the team and he was complementary?!!! damn...not sure which series you watched man.

This is highly unlikely. 'IF' we get into the playoffs it'll be as a 8th seed...7th at best...seriously, what are the chances that the 1st or 2nd seed are 'un-experience'?

I think a lot of folks understate the importance of Deke in that 22 win streak...he spelled Yao, only better, on the defensive end which was HUGE for us.

Exactly, after Game 1, Portland had to double and sometimes triple Yao so he wouldn't get the ball down low. He was the reason we got past the second round.

Honestly?!?!?!?! You want to keep Tmac?! The man hates houston isnt that obvious? Hes been trashed so bad from last season why would he want to stay? Hes gonna come back and play for a contract and prove everyone in houston wrong. I highly doubt he will ever sign with us again and thats a good thing because there is no such thing as a "healthy Tmac". Lets move on. Just trade the man.
