Problems getting the ball to Yao? I bet Barry can get it in to him and after he burns the Blazers with a couple of 3's Yao can do some damage 1 on 1 with their bigs. Crowd gets loud, Portland starts getting 2nd and 3rd chances with offensive boards what do we do? Bring in Deke to throw some bows, grab a few boards and I bet that place will stfu pretty quick. So here is a suggestion to Rick, when you make the first subs take out Brooks and Yao and let the grizzled vets who have seen everything get a look. When Yao comes back in leave Barry in and I bet he knocks down the first 3 he gets a free look at when the double Yao my .02
The problem with Barry is there usually won't be a good defensive matchup for him. Most of the time, the Blazer wings are going to be Roy, Fernandez, and/or Outlaw.
Barry hasn't been making his shots consistently. I don't have any stats to back this up, but it seems he shoots worse from a pass by Yao out of the double. Add to the fact that he is horrible on defense... don't expect him to get a lot of playing time.

I think Barry with his experience could definitely get some playing time, especially if Wafer proves to be ineffective in his first playoff experience.
I don't know about Barry, but regarding Deke He never gets the garbage minutes so Adelman has been saving Deke.
Looking at his recent stats for April, of the 8 games he played, he only scored a FG once in 4 of them, and the rest of the four no points at all. For March, scored in 7 of the 15 games played.
Agree - play the veterans BB and DM. Surely DM has the power to intimidate and I think BB would overall play better if he had more minutes to get in the groove.
