    Dear Radio Caller:

We all know that Hakeem was one of the greatest centers of all-time, if not the greatest. But he has retired and we have paid respect by hanging his jersey in the arena. But please stop calling various radio stations saying that Yao is not a good center because he does not play like Hakeem. Anybody that watches basketball can see their games are worlds apart(No Pun Intended). Currently we have the best center in the league but we want to focus on the fact that he is not Dream. We have a really good team built around this guy and every player on this team will tell you that if you asked them. Let Yao be Yao, which is a very skilled big man, that has improved year after year. Look at the numbers and if you do not belive the numbers, go and watch any game from his first year, (I recommend his first one against the Pacers, that was very discouraging) and watch any game this year and it is not and day. But maybe you are to busy watching Clutch City as it reruns on NBA TV. We all are proud Rockets fans and we enjoyed the back-to-back titles, but let it go and support the 2007-2008 Rockets in particular The Great Wall of Yao.

    Sincerly,

    Current Rox Fans

P.S WE WANT STEVE!!! WE WANT STEVE!!!! WE WANT STEVE!!!!

Yeah, I heard them talking about this on 790am during my lunch break. Unfortunately, thats like saying people around here will eventually stop talking about Vince Young.

Houston has been known to be quite fairweather at times. Thats when the team was winning championships when Hakeem was here and thats when the majority of this city "became" Rockets fans. So, until Yao wins a championship or gets close to it, he will always be in Hakeems shadow. I agree it isnt fair, but its the way of things...

francis had to deal with the same thing, not as a center of course, but just in general. until someone else wins a championship, whoever is deemed the best player on the team, will have to live up to those expectations.

    Dear Radio Callers,

1.) Stop talking about Vince Young.
2.) Stop talking about college football.
3.) Stop attacking Steve Francis' character.
4.) Stop bringing in race everytime a black athlete gets into trouble.
5.) Stop talking about how you play a sport in your neighborhood backyard league and that gives you insight on said sport ( example: " I play a little football with my friends. I know football! " )
6.) Stop asking questions that you could easily find answers on the internet.
7.) Stop telling everyone how long you've been a fan of a particular team. 90% of the people here have been lifelong Rockets and Astros fans.
8.) Stop trying to make yourself into a regular in a show ( i.e. Cowboy Steve, Lesbian Craig ). I don't care how Cowboy Steve's doing!
9.) Stop saying you've come up with some solution that the rest of the population of Houston hasn't come up with yet.
    10) Turn off your radio when you're calling.

    That is all.

#1 That wasn't me who called.
I would use the teaching of the past to analyze the present and predict the future.

I would mention how Dream would never get a championship or would have been traded to Miami cause his team sucked around him. they didn't have any fire.
Rudy T came and the team had fire, closeness, and fun.

The additions of Mike James who isn't afraid to use curse words and a non-fat Bonzi Wells are what this team needs. Its about teammates having faith in each other (what kenny said).

the past is always important, its the measuring stick. That's why the standards are so high in Houston. Not because of Yao. it was because the Dream brought us to 3 NBA Finals and won 2 of them.

Same with the Lakers, they set the bar high with 5 championships. That's why they are successful with 3 more rings. the standard is high.

That's why when Sam Cassell goes to any team with a low standard, it is raised to its peak. That's why Horry has 7 rings.

Its the past. Its what Moses taught Dream and Dream told Yao (dominate). Its the highest standard . CLUTCH CITY. THATS THE STANDARD WHICH WE MUST MEET!

another thing, you guys need to step up and upgrade to satellite radio.
I'm not the one living in the past. I live in the FUTURE! :)

there are a couple people calling up NBA radio now from Houston talking about the Rockets. I don't know if they are Clutchfans or not. Its also cooler calling up NBA radio cause you talk to NBA people not some fat local scrubs.

    AM RADIO SUCKS. SATELLITE... FOREVER!!!
