Man this kid is getting pretty damn good!!

I think bringing in Pig Miller may have helped. We all know how much Pig hustles on both ends. It now seems KT has got the hustle bug as well. And a good thing for the Rockets, because it has apparently elevated his game to heights none of us knew KT had in him. The way he has played over the past few games is giving me Othella/Thorpe flashbacks.

I know, its only 2 double-doubles in a row, but I may have to sign up with Bill Worrell and the Kenny Thomas fan club.

Sign me up too. Kenny's numbers were Barkley-esque tonight.

Isn't it cool how Rudy and CD find gems so late in the first round?

Did you guys hear Danny Ainge speaking on the film watching of Kenny T? Basically he said that in Watching film on Thomas that they didnt see any difference in game between him and Elton Brand. Only that Brand was a bit longer.

Kenny is slowly proving Rudy starting Bullard is a Joke. Ok so Bullard is helping this out alot, but give the guy his rightful place for the moment. Or at least he proves he doesn't deserve it.

Anyone else notice that since hes moved his game inside, his numbers are skyrocketing. No more silly 3's, and long fadeaways.

With that being said, Id like to see Kenny work on his hands. He missed a few layups after Francis set him up underneath a few times.

I know he was slated for our slot, but damn! What a steal! Comparisons to Elton Brand abound (Elton has longer arms); we made off like bandits this year w/ Stevie and Kenny Thomas. This has to be the best Rockets draft year since 1984.

    Welcome to the bandwagon !!

I have been driving the K Thomas bus all season. He has great ability, and he has always been THE MAN at any stop.

I like his intensity, in fact, I would start him over Rogers right now.

    Check out this lineup

    Dream
    Thomas
    Williams
    Anderson
    Francis

    Bench
    Cato
    Rogers
    Mobley
    Drew
    Bullard
    Miller

Looks like we are starting to Gel people.

    Go Rockets

I was a fan of Kenny's when he played for New Mexico. I thought he was really good. I thought Rudy was going to pick somebody terrible at #22, but when he picked Kenny I was surprised that he actually went so low. We definitely made off like bandits in this draft. If we did this good with the 22nd pick, just think how good Rudy would do with a lottery pick. We could be back in contention next year.

I too have been a Thomas fan since he was a Lobo since I have some family in New Mexico.

I dont know how he got the bad rap but they loved him over there.

Thomas no respect, the guy cant buy a foul.He would of had 30 if he would have been treated fair by the refs.

I have to admit I was dead wrong about Kenny.I never thought he would be able to get his shot off in the NBA,but he does so many things. He blocks out well,He can put the ball on the floor and beat his man off the dribble, nice soft hands,etc....I could on about the 3's....Geesh!Thomas looks great.
I'm definitely hopping on this guy's bandwagon.Imagine how much better he'll be after an off season with CD.....great footwork too...wow!

AS soon as i saw the first couple of times that kenny played for us, i immediately took a liking to him. bill and calvin commented on the various post up moves that he had, and i was extremely impressed with his wide arsenal of post up moves. plus, people said he had a weight problem in new mexico, but he doesnt seem to have that now and is running the floor well. that gave me the indication that kenny was a hard worker. and i really like hard workers. overall, his post up moves, banging inside, rebounding, hustle, and his shot have impressed me. i knew it was a steal the minute i saw him play.

DAROckets, no doubt! KT couldn't get a call if he were the telephone company!

I believe he is paying his dues quickly and will soon start hearing the whistle blow when he makes his move.

Did ya'll see that spin move to the front of the basket between the defenders?!! That was awesome!

Being out of town, I never get to hear our players talk (other than Barkley and occasionally Hakeem), so I was dismayed to find out during the TNT postgame interview that Kenny has the voice of a girl scout. Steve Francis, on the other hand, sounds like a cross between Henry Kissinger and Barry White.

Kenny -- ease off on the steroids. Please.

My brother went to school out at UNLV who are in rivals with New Mexico. Anyway, he saw the WAC tournament and when the rockets drafted Kenny T, all he could say is how amazing Kenny was. I'm a believer now.

Kenny breaks out with back-to-back 20-10's and our esteemed Administrator breaks out with a girl-scout analysis. [IMG] Luckily, Kenny let his play do his talking.

Seriously though, it's a lot easier for the other players to have good games when Mobley's not taking all the shots. For that matter, it's a lot easier to win when Mobley's not talking all the shots.

    Thanks, Rudy.

I think the verdict is still out on Kenny though. Can we expect this kind of hustle from Kenny night-in and night-out? If he misses a few shots early, does he disappear the rest of the game? If Mobley is on the floor, does Kenny even get a look?

    Will-

    Listen to Kenny again.
He actually sounds quite a bit like Barkley (voice mannerisms, not personality)

I don't think anyone would call Barkley a girl scout.

And lets leave petty name calling to opponents players please.

Jeez, Will. I thought you were above this.

I think Will was just pointing out an amusing fact. Notice he didn't say: KT sucks... or KT needs to be waived. I laughed when I read Will's post... don't be so prickly. If you can't laugh at your own team, what's the point? Basketball is meant to be enjoyed, and that includes humour.

So kenny's first NBA interview wasn't the prettiest thing in the world. He's a rookie. Give him some time. However, this is an interesting topic and I know we all think about it. It's the most petrifying thing in the world....

Drexler - Always takes the question from the reporter and turns it into a statement. I don't know where he learned how to do this, but it's very effective, and very BORING. Speaks Clearly and Effectively: B+

Olajuwon - Answers every question very brightly and his interviews are a good read. They are, however, very difficult to listen too: C

Francis - At a very young age, is comfortable and relaxed. Seems to be more like Drexler if you ask me, with a little youthful exuberance thrown in: B

Cassell - Not the clearest speaker in the world, but lot's of fun when you can understand what he's saying: B+

Thomas - Yeah, he struggled, and was not comfortable in front of the camera: C -

    Barkely - Obvious: A+

    Williams ?
    Mobley?
    Miller?
    Anderson?

Bullard - Seems to say some unexpected things and speaks clearly. B+

    p.s. I'm not very good either. B-

I'm sorry if y'all think I'm being prickly.

My point is this: When one of OUR players has the breakout game of his career, I don't think we need to hear one of the FANS talk about how he sounds like a girl, or needs to ease off steroids.

I know humor when I see it, and this isn't it.

fatty fat fat, I was going to attempt to defend you because I thought you were trying to be funny. lighten up dude!

As much as I like what KT has brought to the court the past few games, lets let the scenario play out before we give him the starting role. We've won 4 games in a row with him coming off the bench.

Basically what I am saying is if it ain't broke, don't fix it!
