I heard someone say that it's probably really cold there...later I heard the average low there is in the mid-60's during this time of year! I think these guys are being treated quite well, all things considered. not sure what the british would do differently. there are so many security concerns with these guys, it's unreal!
Why treat them any better than they currently are. In America, we execute our own citizens who kill one another (the death penalty). The fact that these people, who are connected to the deaths of over 3,000 Americans, who propogated a war that costs us millions of dollars and puts countless more lives at risk and who are overall bad people, get to even live is amazing to me. What are the justifications for treating POW's one way versus another. What would be the political ramifications 5, 10 years down the road if we treated them bettter/worse? Just curious as to what the current experts say about how POW are treated.
They are prisoners of war, we treat POWs better then any other country in the world. I just read a book called "Ghost Squad" about the Bataan death march and the liberation of an American POW camp run by the Japanese. The Japs were TERRIBLE on POWs. DD
If it were up to me, I would have them publically tortured. It would be like a TV program you could tune into. From 6-9 at night, every night. But hey, thats just me.
I'd watch it. If we did let the British babysit these idiots, they would find some way to screw it up and probably let them go after 5 years saying that they had learned their lesson. Those idiots better be glad that they didnt get their asses whacked when they came out of their caves.
