I'm just going to go ahead and say it since its only a matter of time before its splattered all over this board. Buyout JVG and lets bring in Phill Jackson. My prediction is, we will get of to a slow start and this will be the hot topic. You can already see posters getting impatient after just a few preseason games. It doesnt matter that one of the key players brought in (Sura) hasn't played a single minute or that the team has three new starters and to many new players on it to count or that or that we lost lots of important practice time because we traveled half way around the world. Everyone has gone way overboard with this Kobe/ Shaq comparisn. This will be a good team this year that will only get better. Give them time.
Ok your post makes no sense frist you say buy out JVG and hire Phil "lucky ass bastered" Jackson. Than at the end you say give them time, Which one is it? & or that or that or that or that, i mean i hope you are the frist and the last!
I agree, there should be a special forum titled "Negative **** that Noone Wants to see" and all these whiney posters can go in there and have a cyber circle jerk but keep that crap out of GARM especially at this point in the season.
That's why I love this bbs so much. 2 weeks ago an user got bashed because he said a lot of 'negative' things. 90% of the people here had far to high expectations and where so much excited. Now, two weeks later, 90% of the people here start to bash everything and everyone because they had no realistic expectations. First, we are not a contender, and everybody should have known that. Second, this team isn't totally bad and needs a lot more time. I knew and posted that this would happen. Just be realistic when you are excited, it will decrease the bashing rate tremendously...
The only thing is that it wouldn't be too far-fetched. Let's just say we do get off to a slow start, I doubt CD/Les will just sit back and watch it happen. Phil Jackson is one of the best coaches ever, if not the best, and he is available. If things go bad, don't be suprised if Phil Jackson and the Rockets rumors start popping up on the news. All I know is that we need to resign TMac ASAP, if he doesn't like what he sees or if he just isn't playing well under JVG, atleast he won't be able to go anywhere. But of course, lets not jump the gun. I still think we will have a good season. But I'm not positive JVG will remain our longterm head coach.
I hope T-Mac opens his big mouth and says whats on his mind. I know T-Mac will be bored with this Van Grumpy system that is destroying him and Ming. If T-Mac wants Phil Jackson, Phil Jackson will come!
I was thinking about this the other day. I would feel bad for JVG but if we got a chance to get a great coach such as him i wouldnt think twice about it.
I'm not the greatest van Gundy fan, but I hate Phil Jackson. I'd rather keep Grumpy than get Phil Jackson...
LOL. That's what I was thinking. We have to AT LEAST make it to the 2nd round before Phil Jackson would think about taking over.
