Has anyone looked at our team stats? PPG: 112 (2nd in NBA) Opp PPG: 112.7 (29th in NBA) Also 9th in asts with 22.8 and 5th in rebounds with 46.3 We are so close that its nauseating to think that we aren't undefeated! Proof that we should be just fine this season! Just need to step up the D (obviously)
The Lakers and Spurs games were both highly nauseating losses, for sure. Hornets, Denver, and Golden State were our games to lose, and we lost them.
??? 29th in Opp PPG... I'm confused on what you are saying.... If we are 29th then we deserve to lose more games than win it... It's pathetic to be that low.
Gore shoulda been the President in 2000, too. Sorry, that's now how the system works. One 26 point win doesn't erase 5 choke jobs. 1-5, suck it up and move on. It's a long season.

:grin: Are you high? We lost 5 games by more than 3 points on average. We beat the Twolves by 20 some points, like every other team did, and that's why there is only .7 point difference. I like how you spin it tough.
That was point of this thread, the gap between 6-0 and 1-5 for us is not very big!! Which means we don't need to throw in the season already (ive already heard tanking suggestions)
I sometimes wonder whats the points? Lakers seem like they are going for another 3peat and we sure as hell wont be able to stop them .. Not with the current team at least
Some people argue you cant win by outscoring your opponents every night in the NBA. Thats odd because the offense hasnt outscored but one team so far. Do we need better defense? Yes. Make a move to finalize the roster by removing one of these weaknesses from the lineup at the same time. Brooks on defense Martin on Defense Battier on offense. Already done with Brooks and Smith stepped up admirably to show how the results could stack up. So when Brooks comes back one of these players needs to be consolidated for one real good guy who isnt a liability back. or two for one guy like that. Brooks, Battier, or Martin in a trade. Or a trade that involes 2 out of the three for one guy.
Not really. We could be coughing up the MOST ppg against and still be undefeated. If we were Scoring 130 ppg and giving up 112ppg then it wouldnt be a problem. We could still be allowing the most points but still easily winning games. Whilst i agree it dosent look good that we are 29th in the League its probably not all as bad as it looks. Then again a 26 pt differential helps that equation dosent it. At the end of the day the ladder comes down to W's and L's and were are well behind the 8 ball to start up.
Luckily this team doesn't need to play elite D to win. They just need to play good enough D and as long as the effort is there they should be fine.
