Lol I never thought otherwise. Morey has never been as great/as bad as the majority of rockets fans say he is.
Daryl Morey is not the problem. Ty Lawson and bringing back Corey Brewer with a big contract hurt the team. Those two ended up being garbage.
Three hungry, up-and-coming teams that had circled the Rockets game on their calendar long ago. It was their Superbowl and the Rockets still overcame it with three clutch wins.
The key is in the phrasing "Right now".....things aren't changing. That means nothing in regards to how the evaluation will go after the season - let's hope we take out an all time team. DD
Regarding the first quote, it can be taken several ways. Of course Morey is with the team. For now. What if the Rockets are swept in 4 straight blowouts? As for the second quote, it enforces what I've been saying all along. Les' obsession with maintaining the illusion of being competitive is why we're mired in mediocrity. Who gives a rat's ass about being at or above .500? If you're not building toward a title contender, you're wasting everyone's time.

DD...said it best...Morey's future lies with this team. If the Rockets get skunked 4-0...I expect Les to clean house. Dwight leaves, and major changes to the roster. If the Rockets make it a competitive series, Morey stays, but Dwight leaves, coaching is fired and majors changes to the roster. If the Rockets manage to stun the NBA and beat the Warriors...Morey stays, JBB stays, but think Dwight leaves and major changes to the roster. If the Rockets miraculously gets to the finals, Everyone stays and minor changes of the roster will happen. (Dwight picks up his option) If the Rockets win it all...I expect the same roster next year.
