For all the LOVE this board gives Morey (obv well deserved), Les should get some praise too. He could easily be a cheap-a** and keep all that money from Yao. Even if Rockets suck he would still bank off of all the China money.

So here is some love to Les, whether or not we get Bosh, I'm glad Rockets have an owner who is willing to let Morey spend his money however Morey sees fit for the betterment of this team.

Rofl if Rockets won 5 games this year, Les would make more than enough from China, and he could easily be a Donald Sterling or Michael Heisley and pocket all the proceeds from Yao.

I agreed he needs to love too. But, considering his age, can he even get it up?

Well I just been to China couple months ago and I must say all sports channels there shows rockets games more than lets say lakers/Cavs/MAgic. All I am tryin to say is Les is being smart and knows how to look into the future. If rockets collects good assets to win, it means more money for Les from China. Trust me, ROckets is still the most idolized team in China and we haven't won Jack yet. Imagine if we actually make it to finals...O boy, mountain of gold into Les pocket.

That's what has happened, he has offered last 2 years to let Morey get into Lux Tax, but Morey hasn't seen a reason to.

This year we will be IF/WHEN we get Bosh, so no matter what has happened in the past, it is obvious Les is willing to this year.

Les Alexander is frumpy and not sharp and impressive and Russian and black like Prokhorov or Jay-Z.

To be fair, I seem to remember us sending off Glen Rice with a 1st round draft pick just to avoid the luxury tax. But, I am quite pleased with Les as the owner.

Les has always said he would be willing to fork over the cash for the luxury tax "for the right player."

I think this needs to be said, as the best part of Les Alexander is that he doesn't meddle. He lets his basketball people do their jobs, and provide support. He has no ego in terms of making himself look good and try to usurp his GM/Coach's power.

He doesn't spend exorbitantly the way Dolan/Cuban/Allen do, but he is willing to spend if it gets us wins.

I've said numerous times that Les is a great owner. I think I even included it in my 10 reasons Bosh should sign with Houston thread. He's terrific!
