Why don't the Rockets pick this guy up? Wasn't he talking and getting help from the Rockets? He appears to have tremendous talent and could be the player the Rockets need at the 4 spot. All I have read is that the Nets may sign him...anyone else hear anything?
Valdez I could see it now: Marbury's mother coming into the locker room and telling Leon no freak wearing Indian warpaint is ever going to play with her son.
The latest I heard was that the Nets were backing away from signing him. Which I think is a good thing. Smith is going to need lots of attention from a committed organization if he's going to be healthy and productive. NJ is not such an organization. The Rockets are, but they don't seem willing to sign him.
