    ok so random question:
so we're setting up this fantasy football league with some buddies across the nation, and we could just send the money to the commisioner via paypal or etc, but we got to thinking about avoiding the damn surcharges. if we set up a website that accepted payment from members, and then at the end of the season just distrubuted the winnings accordingly- would this be illegal and/or facilitating gambling? what are the ways around this? thanks in advance.

Why would that be gambling, and sending your money through a 3rd party not be? And, the govt doesn't care about your fantasy football pool, even if it is illegal.

I think fantasy sports are exempted from the internet anti-gambling law.
