    HELP!

I asked for an insurance quote, and the dude goes:
"How come you didn't tell me you had a ticket???"
    "I don't. Stop kidding..."
"It says here that you have 'Disregarding Traffic Device'."

To make a long story short: What can I do to PAY FOR IT before I get taken to the slammer???? It was back in 2003, he says, and the location is "Houston", as if there was only ONE Houston and only ONE Police department.

I never got a MAILed ENVELOPE, no freakin' "Hey, dude, you didn't show up, we'll pick you up" letter from the police, nothing... now I owe for something I didn't know I had...

I have been calling everyone, but no one has record of this.... what gives???

I will elaborate as soon as I get home since I fotta get outta here.... thanks, dudes...and DUDETTES

akperez, I appreciate the help MUCH... MUCHO MUCHO MUCH.

You should give that buddy whom you lent your car awhile ago a call.

Man, that's GOOD! Ummm... what buddy? :D

No, I know for a fact I worked that day, but the report doesn't say what car (my wife and I drive separately our two cars), and it doesn't tell the insurance dude what time, or what intersection... that's all I know...

I called HPD and they don't have a record... 311 says that there are no "open files" under my TXDL...

DPS can't help me unless they know what "agency" the ticket is under... (like I know... ?? )

    What can I do... ? :(

Since I am the owner of the vehicles, I get the ticket. Is that right? It doesn't matter who was in the car... it matters who owns them...

    CMIIAW on those...

I mean, I really don't care who was driving... I just want to at least find out how I can fix this. :(

If the officer didn't make the stop and the car was just registered in your name only then yeah it would show you as having the citation. :(

I would call HPD, but I would do it from a pay phone somewhere in the suburbs.

I dont want to hear about you getting locked up when I get back from my Cozumel trip. Take care of this.....use your Pedro voice when you call.

MoBalls, Yes, I like her bangs. (that's crazy, man... crazy... :D LOL)

RMTex, yeap, I thought about that.

I requested my DRIVING RECORD for $6.50 at the DPS web site. Here's hoping I don't get stopped before I can pay for this ticket.
