Not sure if there is a thread for this game I don't know how to look for them besides hitting next page several times. Well I resserved my copy which comes out November 17th, the demo is available tomorrow for those who resserved it at Gamestop in which I did, so I am looking forward and hopefully it is better than the first which I really enjoyed at first but got boring once versus got too easy.
Left 4 Dead is the best online experience in gaming imo. The first one was amazing, easily the best game of last year. I never really liked versus, but I never got bored of playing the campaign on Expert. I can't wait for the new game.
Maybe cause the campaign on expert is ****ing ridiculous by yourself. I remember having to fight three tanks and a witch waiting for the damn helicopter on the first campaign. And as soon as I started to run for the helicopter another tank came out of nowhere and knocked me off the building. I have never wanted to destroy a game more. Great game though and hopefully Left 4 Dead 2 stacks up with the anticipation. Still wish Bill was in the game. And to that note who else thinks Francis looks like a tatted Brent Barry with a goatee?
I dont know, L4D was fun to play BUT they really need to add more levels. Anyone know about the levels this year?
They said it was set in New Orleans and that some stages would be during the day. Maybe have that Resident Evil 4 feel I suppose.
Agree...thats one of the reasons Im not looking too forward to this game. The multiplayer was great, but I had more fun doing the campaign. Finished the game pretty quickly and I basically moved on to another game after a couple days.
I think is set throughout the Southern US, the last movie I believe is based in New Orleans. You finished the expert campaign pretty quickly? I consider myself damn good at this game and it took me several months
Just finished playing the demo to this game. Wasn't bad the use of the melee weapons is a solid addition. Glad they added more special infected to the game while keeping all of the old ones from the first Left 4 Dead. Demo itself kind of dissapointing that you can not play versus and only the campaign. The demo download itself was a huge file over a gig to download and you get two small parts of a level that does not include a finale.
that's how the last demo was, just 2 chapters. There are only 4-5 movies, they are not gonna give you a whole one in the demo
It is only available on xbox live if you preordered the game. Demo comes out next week for xbox live.
the only other way you'll be able to get access to the demo is by winning a code http://www.justin.tv/earwaxface they've been giving them out all day..
Picked up the game today at Gamestop played part of the carnival level then quit but the game was pretty fun so far. Going to play more tomorrow once I get out of class.
Really enjoyed playing this game at first I was skeptical since I thought the demo was really lame. But the maps are fun I enjoy the new additions of the special infected when playing with them on vs. Only real complaint I have is the few finales I have played have been pretty hard to survive but I guess that is why it is called Left 4 Dead. But I am really glad I bought this game I also enjoyed playing scavenger eventhough I only played it once.
ya, it can get kind of hard. I have yet to survive Carnival on advanced. My friend and I have had some terrible pubs on our team. Game is fun, I was reluctant to buy it since I wasn't sick of Left 4 Dead yet. BUT we got the 4 pack bundle off Steam so the game only cost me $33. I can live with that. Fun game. If any of you have it on PC and aren't part of the STEAM CF group, join up. I've played with a few of you in the group. The link is in my signature.
I rented the game a couple of days ago but I haven't had much time to play it. I've just worked through the first 3 chapters of the first "movie" and I must say...it's awesome. I was concerned, having played the first L4D until I literally started seeing zombies in my sleep, that it would just be more of the same and I'd become bored quickly. That's not the case at all, as there are many new additions, not the least of which are the new special infected which are well done and definitely add to the game rather than over-saturating it. Things seem to be less dark and creepy this time around, but much more action oriented (which seems hard to do). Normal difficulty is much harder this time around, as I'm sure Advanced and Expert are as well. Anyway, while I've only scratched the surface of the experience, I can already tell it's not just a regurgitation of the original. It has clearly improved. Now if I could just get all my friends to stop playing Modern Warfare 2 all the time, maybe I could enjoy the multi-player mode.
Any exploits or game mechanics flaws been discovered yet? Corner camping and melee spam basically ruined the first L4D.
I absolutely love the new zombies. On that one map where you are in a hotel that the bottom floors on fire, you can charge people down the main hallway and out the window. My buddy pushed 2 people out the window to their instant deaths lol.
How do the uncommon infected alter the gameplay? Are they a minor annoyance, or can they be a tide turner if the special infected use them right?
