In terms of versatility, you'd have to cherry pick strengths from several different GOATs to even come close:

Start with Magic's passing & bbIQ, but with shaq's raw power & physical dominance, Jordan's unstoppable will to win & scoring creativity, iverson's toughness/durability & street cred, Hakeem's guard-quick hands yet size to defend anyone. Except Lebron's become a deadly 3pt shooter too, & now he's also mastering Duncan's big man fundamentals?! I don't think we'll ever see anyone play like this again- all GOAT superpowers with ZERO weaknesses.

Why settle for a jumper when you can get easy buckets going to the hoop? With that said his jumper has improved significantly over the years as well and he can hit them if needed.

    His fundamentals are very sound.

He used to infuriate me with how long it took him to finally change his shooting fundamentals. He finally fixed that this season and look what it has done for his precentages. It would just anger me because all he needed to do was work on straightening out his elbow. Now he is pretty deadly from anywhere on the court on any given night.

Lebron isn't that creative when he scores, he beats you like Shaq did, powers you right under the basket and goes through or over you. MJ would get 30 points on 10-20 different shots. Lebron can give you the same dunk or layup 5-10 times in one game and the other team can't stop it.. #Shaq

Lebron is much tougher and durable than Iverson was. Iverson could get tired and he often did get tired and start to chuck the ball. Never knew Lebron had street cred, good to know.

Every player in the NBA gets away with travels on fast break dunks (and in many other situations). Lebron is no worse than any other, you just notice it more.

Also, that was barely a travel. MAYBE like half an extra step.

A con for Durant is he can get too jumper happy. With his athleticism he should attack as much as he can. Lebron's game is amazing to say the least. Quit hating.

The funny thing is that the 2 players who have taken the most from lessons with Hakeem and transfered them into actual games are a SG and a SF.

The big men that work with him seem to forget everything as soon as they get on the court.

Of course the that SG and SF are two of the hardest working people in the NBA currently. So that probably has a lot to do with it.

Lebrons a beast the bet player in the league and one of the top 5 best players to eer play.

    My top 5
    1. Mj
    2.king james
    3. Hakeem the dream
    4.kobe
    5. Magic

Obviously their are some other really good players that have played te game but these guys had the whole package offense/defense with the mental aspect that is unbreakable. Also every player on that list has at least one record that no player has ever done. Along with records that they share to go along with the championships as the number one dude. We've been very lucky to see all these players on the last 35 yrs. magic then mj then Hakeem while mj was gone ( he was always good ppl just noticed it more when the goat was gone) to Kobe to lebron. The last 10 urs have been great from a basketball perspective it's always a better league to me when one player is the best am his team is the favorites to win it every yr. Kobe's lakers went to the chip 3 yrs in a row as were considered the favs for a 5 yr period now lebron 2 yrs in a row winning one and the fav for at least 3 more yrs.

I love this game for as good as football is basketball has the marketing from a indiviadual standpoint on lock and the best players always shine it just makes it more enjoyable. If u live or hate lebron or Kobe you still tune in to watch them play every time there on tv because they do things nobody else does. It's a credit to their dedication In the gym and live for the game. Only a few players had the passion and love for the game. I mean these guys play ball all summer no breaks Kobe and lebron only take 2 weeks off from basketball after the season then back in the gym that's just insane but shows why there the best in the bizz.

LeBron is a scary man. What is truly terrifying is that when his athleticism erodes, he will still have his gigantic body, basketball IQ, and basketball skills. I wouldn't be surprised if he extends his dominance as he ages by moving exclusively to the post and becoming a premier PF.

After getting away with those things so long . . .you get use to it
    you expect it

Hard as hell to guard the best player in the world
PLUS he gets to crab dribble, travel, hack you to hell and generally gets a foul anytime you play tough D on him.
That is how one goes from being very good or even great . .. to SUPERHUMAN!

A lot of players get away with traveling so I don't think its a big deal. He gets to play overaggressive on D without getting called for a foul BUT on the flipside he gets hacked all the time without getting a shooting call. Take the Celtics game for example. He attacked the basket for most of the game and got hacked many times but only shot a mere 6 FTs. If that was KD he would have gotten 15-20 Fts no joke. He got 14 in the Denver game. A player who is primarily a jump shooter like Durant should not be getting more FTA than Lebron but Lebron gets Shaq esque treatment when it comes to drawing fouls(he also converts at a Shaq esque percent at the rim).

    Amazing for a SF.

even today olajuwan has better footwork than most guards. that being said, he would travel on some of his moves but because he was so freaking good and most of his moves were legal, he got away with the rest. in the practice video with lebron when olajuwan is showing the james the first move, his pivot foot leaves the floor well before he puts the ball down. james tries to do it and doesn't look quite as smooth because he's doing it without traveling.
