How is this different from <a href="http://bbs.clutchfans.net/showthread.php?t=189334">this thread</a> which is currently 3 topics down?
I'm going Knicks. He's stabbed Cleveland in the back. Miami is nice, but I don't think it works for his ego. Chicago is by far the best place if he wants a title. However if he goes anywhere else, he will always wonder "What if" in regards to playing in New York. Its a bad situation basketball wise, but if it takes him 7 or 8 years to turn it around and make the Knicks champions, and that is his goal, it would be huge. I can't see him turning his back on that scenario.
hoston is the best place if he wants to win a title. infact, it is the best place for every free agent. houston has yao, kmart, scola, brooks, bud, hill and alot more good players. thats a better team than gibson, rose, deng, boozer, noah and the rest of that team.
Houston. No doubt about it. He's just been screwing with everyone this past week. He did great throwing every expert off the trail.
I would expect James to join a power house trio in the late part of his career. If you are only 25 and in your prime and to be call king. You need to stay where you started and build a legacy like jordan, magic, bird, and bryant under one team. If he goes to MIA which I believe he will. Then there goes your brand. Prince james can't rule the kingdom himself so he ask his fellow knights to help him CHEAT.
i think lebron has just created these conflicting reports to drive up the revenue on his espn special.
I am hoping anywhere else (well, other than UTA, DAL, SAN, and UTA)... but he goes to the NYK. And a really bad 48 hours comes to a close...
Here's why I think he's going to Houston: - Obviously he would have considered all teams that offered him the max, and if you look at our roster... 1. AB : Had an all-star season last season. 2. K-Mart : One of the best scorers in the league. 3. Ariza : Excellent defensive player. 4. Scola : Very, very underrated post player. 5. Yao Ming : Best offensive center in the game. Extras : Battier, Budinger, Hill, etc. How could anyone possibly deny that this is a team built for a championship? We're just one LeBron, Wade, or Bosh away. - He mentioned he wouldn't go to a team that was HUGE in the media's list of teams that were in the trade talks. Miami is huge, Chicago is huge, Cleveland is huge, and the Knicks are huge. That leaves two possible destinations, Houston, or the Nets. - No state income tax... That HAS to factor in somewhere for LeBron. The only thing that would really scare him away from Houston is Yao's proneness to injury...
