Saw it earlier. Peter Vescey? NY Post? Might as well be a random message board post. I won't believe anything until the 1st.

No way he resigns without torturing the Cavs first. He is going to drag this out as long as possible in order to stay in the spotlight.

Must means there is no way he is going to Cleveland.

I don't know why he would re-up for 3 years.

LeBron should give the Cavs only two years, if he is even interested in doing this deal.

1 (next year), to get any FAs or develop a picks, trade for the right people, find a new coach, and essentially gel under new management.

And the second year, to actually compete well for a championship.

Then, after two years, should LeBron be satisfied, he should know where to go from there.

He'll be 27 by then, and probably still not be peaking.

I hope he moves on and plays for some other team.

Just to mix the league up a bit....Its getting boring.

The league isn't boring, but the James melodrama certainly is getting to be a tired act.

I agree with you as well.

But I just don't see it happening.

The rumor probably isnt true, but i call it a "duncan deal." The 3 yr deal is how duncan kept the heat on the spurs to field a championship team vs being locked in and management going cheap. This is why i've said sign and trade isnt a big factor when dealing with a ypung guy like james or wade.

He owes Cleveland a championship so I think he resigns with Cleveland, he strikes me as the type of guy that pays his debts unlike Carlos Boozer.

Shouldn't it be spelled re-sign? Resign means to relinquish one's position.

He can't make any committment like that without knowing who's going to be playing with him. I'm sure he's itching for a ring.

The Cavs are also now shopping Mo Williams and Delonte West. Obviously, they want to get rid of West since he boned LeBron's mom (hence the "gone for sure" status?), and maybe Mo Williams told the rest of the locker room or something causing LeBron to distrust him.

    More validity to that rumor?!

    (teehee, isn't the off-season fun?)

That's got to be so weird for LeBron.

Imagine if you were LeBron. I would beat the crap out of Delonte.
