That had just as much to do with Gilbert Arenas choking. Also, LeBron seems to have regressed a little this year.
Seriously...that game was entirely on LeBron. They hung around the entire game, and he had TWO wide open looks at the basket that could have sent it into overtime. Second attempt was even more wide open than the first. LeBron has got to learn how to close out games. On another subject -- man that Pavlovic guy is a baller. How did they get him? And why has Mike Brown been letting him rot away at the end of the bench for so long?
Elias says ... LeBron's crunch time FT percentage this season is 58.7%. The rest of the game? 68.4%. Define "choker".
Give me a break. He scored 39 points last night. He's one of the best players in the league and has already won a playoff series. Oh, by the way, he's 22 years old.
Classic example of "NOT CLUTCH" But I won't put the loss on him, Big Z with 0pts He's a former all-star.
Re-signing Big Zero was a bigger mistake than signing Larry Hughes. LeBron is a great player, but last night showed why he is not up to Wade's level. He and Tracy are more talented, display a wider set of skills and have a larger "Wow!" factor, but Wade is a better player than both.
Lebron has regressed for sure, but he's got his whole career in front of him. He's got time to figure it out.
We all know that he can score points, in clutch time he falls apart though. Who cares that he is 22. He is already in his 4th season and clutchness is born not made. A 22 year old Robert Horry would have drained those shots.
him missing those freebies probably hurt them more than anything else but man could the Cavs miss any more lay ups?
He hasn't regressed, he's coasting. That's yet another difference between Lebron and Wade. Wade plays all out every second he's on the court, he plays at such a frantic pace, almost like his life depends on it. Lebron, on the other hand, is more of the assertive type that picks and chooses when to 'bring it'. He's still more talented than Wade will ever be, but I would take Wade (healthy, of course) every day of the week and three times on Sunday. Wade has the mental aspect of the game down pat, Lebron is still far from getting there. That being said, of course he's still a great talent and most teams would kill to have him.
dwade definitely has a lot of heart and hustle, but he is not better than lebron. he's been playing great this year individually, but his team is subpar. and if you're in the east, there's no excuse for that. lebron is definitely coasting, it's not a regression in his game, he didn't just become a worse basketball player. he has nights like last night, where he puts the team on his back and plays outstanding. for example, right before the all star break he beat kobe on his home floor (and made clutch free throws to put the game away). last year, he took the defending champs to 7 games, and almost won that series. i wonder if these same ppl that are calling lebron a choke artist are applying this same logic to our beloved tmac...
you aint gonna be the King if you coast. Bronbron may be more talented, but he doesnt have the desire and the heart Wade does. There are lots of players with lots of talent, but never put it together to fully realize their potential. just like it takes 5 to win it takes more than talent to be the best player in a league full of the best players on earth.
