The problem for them is that they aren't one iota better now than they were 14 games ago.

    What an astute observation, LeBron!

People will probably overblow his comment even though it was the truth and pretty obvious.

LeBron is right. Heat would be No.9 seed in west as of today. And playing more games against west conference would make it even tougher.

Players say obvious stuff all the time. In fact most of the stuff NBA players or sports athletes say is obvious.

Woj will definitely write a column on this. What LeBron says is true, but Woj will say that this is exactly the difference between legends like Kobe and LeBron

GOSH when will this end. The whole "anglo" fanatics demanding purity from their athletes, then the "afro" fan protecting the "afro" players against the criticism, yeah itll never end but it gets old seeing it time and time again.

People know Lebron isn't that introspective in his commenting. Even if he's right they'll make it like he's a coddled brat diarrhea'ing from the mouth with no care for anything around him

wait...lebron states something that's obvious, but isn't acting like it's news to anyone and he gets blasted for it?

It's a simple comment that a lot of other people have made. It's not even worth it's own thread and the title is what makes this sound stupid.

I wonder how much does "time" really matter? Or is a bad fit a bad fit regardless? The Boston big 3 didn't need time to gel. Neither did the Rockets when Barkley joined. The latter was even more impressive given how Barkley and Hakeem shared the same sweet spot. The Lakers and there hoopla with Malone and Payton got off hot too. OTOH, Quitter's time here started off badly, and never got better.

It seems to me that when great players get together, they usually get off well right off the start. Because they tend to be more "team-oriented" in their approach at the beginning, without letting egos get in the way. It's actually strange to see the Miami big 3 get into trouble at first, before anyone felt that perhaps they're not getting the ball enough.

i think it has to do with lebron and wade being more similar than different...the big 3 all played different positions and could either have the ball in their hands or spot up....barkley could post up or do the dirty work off of others' misses....lebron and wade both need the ball and neither are good at spotting up or catching and shooting...they're more rythm players who need some dribbles before letting it fly...bosh of course will be unable to find his place because the other two can't find theirs..

I wonder if these guys(LeBron,Bosh,Wade) are actually going to play together the full 5 years... I can bet money that they wont. Is It just me or did anyone else notice that LeBron doesnt look as happy as he use to be when he was with cleveland. At this point i bet he regrets leaving, doesnt matter if he claims bosh and wade as his friends his real friends seem to be back in cleveland were he seem to always be enjoying the crowd. Also Heat look like they have no chemistry going for them. Against orlando they looked like a girls 7th grade bball team. They have no bench wade nor bosh nor lebron seem to know whos suppose to do what and who should have the rock. Is pass and shot, theirs no pass pass shot its all one on one and its making this team look like a bunch of highly overated players and coaching staff as well as team.

Yeah but only one team has Juwan Howard on it and he has, once again, been very busy.

I don't know that the Boston or Pippen examples disprove the idea that some groupings need time. The Boston team started playing together regularly during the summer even before training camp, so those guys had more time than you would otherwise guess. The Rockets with Pippen might have worked if it had been a normal season with a full training camp and 82 games (and if Pippen wasn't a quitter).
