Marion's done about as well as can be expected on him, but I think the majority of what LeBron said was true. LeBron demands team defense and can't usually be contained by one defender. And regardless of the truth/falsehood of his claims, believing that no one can guard him is the attitude he needs to have through the rest of this series.

Most NBA players probably feel like that. Every star player believes there is no one that can stop them.

You have to have that mentality if you want to be successful.

He's right. Here's a short list of some of the other players who would also be right if they said the exact same thing: Derrick Rose (when he's playing well), Dirk, Melo, Kobe, Wade, Howard, Chuck Hayes.

LeBron is a douche but he is right. One one one he is basically unstoppable. Nothing wrong with the truth.

I think what Lebron says generally applies to a lot of the perimeter superstars in the NBA, though, so there's really nothing to see here.

If he says "no one guy can guard me in the post," well, then that'll be a bold assertion.

if no one can guard him, why doesnt he score 100 points in a game? i mean obviously he can just do whatever he wants right since no one can guard him.

No one can stop LeBron, period. Only thing that can challange him is his mind. He has been shooting outstanding % so far and that will force more jumpers in the future, and as we know he is not a great shooter. That may hurt his game a bit

Maybe not, but there is a guy that can contain him.

Ehh, nothing to see here. He's not the only one
Nobody could guard dream unless they Illegal D'd him.
Nobody could guard yao one on one unless they fronted him with a SF or stepped on his feet.

In the NBA, it's pretty difficult to guard somebody one on one. You either have to be specialists ike Tony allen and our shane ; or you have to be a star so you can get away with a hand on the hip, a bump and the occasional punching the package.

I bet Deke's elbows could do a good job guarding him. :)

It will be interesting to see if James being more aggressive and looking more for his shot will be good for the Heat.

Because while James's assist numbers may not reflect it, the Heat have looked their best on offense vs. Dallas when James took on a playmaking role and set up his teammates with his passing. He's been the best passer of these finals, even better than Kidd IMO.

Will the Heat's offense run more smoothly if James is constantly looking to score?

Unless it takes free throws to decide the game, then anyone can guard him b/c he won't try to draw any contact.

What's the point of him saying that? He's right and nobody ever testified against it... It's like JJ Barea saying he is short.
