    Not human.

He's averaged 39-10-9.4 with 1.8 blocks, 1.4 steals on over 50% shooting and 80% free throws the past 5 games.

If you don't have league pass, you are missing out. I know a lot of people have a strong hatred for LeBron for a myriad of reasons but he really is the new Oscar Robertson. He can average a 30-10-10 triple double some day.

Yeah, the dude is pretty much basketball Jesus. His numbers are downright disturbing.

a lot of it is the complete lack of other players on that team, but yes, Lebron is pretty much awesome. I think Kobe is the better scorer, but Lebron the better player overall.

that is insane... i thought Jason Kidd might be able to do it, but LBJ WILL avg a triple double for an entire season during his career... it might be this year

No he won't average a triple double for a whole season.

Get real. Great player but it isn't happening.

I had him on my fantasy last year.....it was sort of an "off" year for him numbers wise, because I know he wasn't getting those numbers that frequently for me last year. Which irritated me because he had 30 7 and 7 the year before. I had BOTH J.Kidd and LeBron last year, boy, I wish I had them back this year.

Back on topic. I doubt anybody is ever going to average a triple double again. It just seems to demanding to do it in such a loooong season. But it would be amazing to see.

How are you going to average a triple-double when you haven't even come close to averaging a double-double in your career yet? If averaging a double-double in points/rebounds was a given for him, then he would have a much easier time getting a triple-double every night.

he doesn't need a triple double every night...

he can alternate double-doubles between rebounds and assists and slowly bring his numbers up (as he is doing this very season)

again, 30, 8, and 8 is also a good start...

So he isn't averaging a triple double after a dozen games but he will average one after 82 games?

    Great logic.

    how about this logic?

    rebounds and assists

    after 4 games: 7.5, 7

    after 9 games: 7.6, 7.9

    after 13 games: 8.1, 8.0

he's only going to get better.

again, he doesn't need a triple double every night. he just needs consistent double doubles or games with 8 or 9 assists all season. if he can maintain these numbers and still pull out some monster games where he pulls down 15 boards and drops 14 assists...

thus is the concept of an "average"

Don't forget about those nights where he has 2 or 3 assists or 4 or 5 boards. They will offset those 14/15 nights and you end back where he is currently. 8 and 8. No one is going to average a triple double again. He has about as much chance of averaging a TD as yao averaging 35/15.

You always here how shooting is the lost art in the NBA. Ya right! Athleticism and defense have simply made it tougher for shooters. People shoot as well now as they ever did.

The real lost art is making your teammates better. Hell Tony Parker just won a playoff MVP. He doesn't make anyone better. Lebron is one of the few players that possesses the quality.

Not only could he average a triple double... He could still be in college right now. I am confident he would lead the nation in TDs as a receiver in college. He would have a handful of picks if he played safety. He would be a monster blocking tight end. And he could probably get 5 sacks from the defensive end.

I haven't seen him this year... But I constantly hear he has really improved his defense. To the point where he is one of the best perimeter defenders. Can anyone comment?

If that is true, then LeBron is hands down the best player in the league, imo. Actually I think he already has been the best the last two years. Those stats are unreal.

I've only seen a few Cavs games. He appears to be a very good team defender. Very good with weakside block shots and playing passing lanes. I haven't seen him guarding any big time offensive players, so I can't comment on his one on one defense.

LeBron is the best player, in my view. He's in total control of the Cavs offense. Even when he's not scoring, all their scoring opportunities come through the attention he draws.

    another triple double again.

dude is just on another level (i doubt if he does this all yr, he'll run out of gas for the playoffs).

he is, in my opinion, the best player right now. bar none.

kobe can score, but doesn't have the overall offensive dominance. his D is better than bron, but THIS YR, bron is no slouch either.

tmac can score, but sometimes inefficiently, and his injury problems don't allow him to go all out all the time

duncan has gotten down a notch but he has a great team.

bron is the ONLY individual who can challenge MJ for that GOAT status

LeBron is a great player and he might be the best. But he still can't shoot. That shooting touch he showed in Las Vegas is gone already. I can't understand why he can't be better at mid-range jumpshots. He's young, but the amount of energy he exerts to score is painful sometimes and may catch up to him later in the season.

The Cavs just took a heartbreaker from my Pacers, who just blew the game down the stretch. Even when he plays fairly well, David Harrison is an idiot.
