http://msn.foxsports.com/nba/story/LeBron-James-Miami-Heat-coach-player-relationship-112910 I love it. This is exactly what the NBA deserves, drafting these children out of high school before they've had a chance to go to college and mature. I hope the heat don't even make the playoffs. Then we can hear Ladrama blame his coach, the media, the newspaper boy, his mama and delonte etc etc. NSFW Spoiler
This basically makes about 6 LeBron threads on the front page. Soon every single thread will be a Bron thread.
the heat is all about lebron james i see (although he's not the worst out of the big 3). just like it was the cavs. i don't know if it's media-induced or lebron james himself.
What a little diva b.. Lebron needs to call Beyonce and learn how to be a real woman, since he obviously can't be a man.
Are you serious? If anything college would've made this aspect of LeBron's personality worse...he would be in bigger NATIONAL spotlight, ESPN would cover him in march more than the nba playoffs a couple months later, not to mention that LeBron would be treated like a GOD by his peers on campus, and basketball program.
Yeah, this is getting ridiculous. Can the admin consolidate all these threads and make an "official LeBron thread" like the McGrady thread so all the haters and lovers can piss at each other?
I'm getting really sick of you posting about how guys can't grow up to be functioning men when they're raised by single mothers (you were making the same claims in the VY thread). It's quite annoying and insulting.
Word, at this point all these articles are basically the same just worded differently. Agreed. There are plenty of professional athletes who grew up without fathers and didn't turn out this way. Also growing up without a father is very tough for a kid to have to deal with. I can see if he had two parents spoiling him. At the end of the day nobody grew up with these athletes so I hate when people try to say how they should have been raised etc.
Lebron and Wade are examples of manufactured stars, They changed the rules for these guys, they protected their azzes ridiculously and now these guys are exposing themselves and making a food of themselves
I agree. Shouldn't really have an opinion on something you never had to deal with. Lebron is a misguided person and doesn't understand how to be mature, but it's not because of that. He needs a great coach to light a fire under his ass and tell him either shut up and play or sit on the bench with me.
I get the frustration somewhat, but the Dish is almost always slow moving, and this entire saga (Boston series-->Decision-->Struggles-->Insurrection) has been arguably the biggest story in the NBA since the Shaq/Kobe divorce. I don't know the last time the perception of an MVP/legend in his prime has taken such a dramatic swing. Maybe Tiger, but that was off the greens (and not too many guys hated him for it). Kobe and A-Rod didn't surprise anyone. I met LeBron once, and found him to be impressively mature and classy (more than most, not just athletes - by contrast I found Boozer and Carmelo to be bratty little turds). I'm very surprised by this whole sequence of events. I think he's stunned at the public backlash, never saw it coming, and doesn't yet realize how this will follow him the rest of his career.
I agree with what you're saying. This was a huge move in sports and the team is struggling so there will be reports. It just seems like all of the arguments basically turn into the same argument by his critics and supporters. I would imagine that a lot of his supporters are beginning to turn on him which is understandable.
^ they sure are, don't you think? Both of these guys are top 5 players and they're supposed to be skilled enough to adjust each other's game and elevate the players around them, they haven't done that. Their whole game is running into defenders, putting pressure on the refs to make foul calls and thats why defenses play them soft, now with no good shooters on the floor, teams are just packing them inside and with no semblance of an outside or post game they're showing how ball dominant they are.
Lebron a manufactured star my ass. I would trade any 3 players on this team to pick him up. Hell, I'd trade any 3 players on this team for Wade also. And don't blame it on him jumping straight from highschool. Everyone seems to forget a Houston legend/top 15 player all-time who didn't go to college also.
Of course they can, but this is about Lebron and how he was raised. Getting a Hummer when he was like 17 years old that his mom ehem, financed..... There are lots of people raised by single parents that grew up, Lebron, and Tmac are two that didn't. Sorry you are sick of it.....but the truth is the truth. As for Vince, he better grow up fast or his career is over.... DD
go right ahead, you won't be getting past the 2nd round with either of them unless you have Stern on your side backing you
So we should forgive wife beaters because their daddy's did it too and drug dealers because their mom smoked crack?
