Shaq for one is the least talented ball player.

    Who Else?

He’s the only player I can think of that does not possess a jump shot. I don’t mean a good or bad one, I mean he just doesn’t have one!!

That, to me at least, seem like a glaring issue when people bring up those “best of” arguments and they include the fat man.

I think Shaq is reasonably talented actually. At the very least he's a decent passer...

Shawn Bradley, maybe? How about Jim McIlvane?

If you can put up his kind of numbers with very little talent then I'll take it.

    Shaq is extremly athletic though.

Talent is the key word. He doesn't do much cept dunk, decent passer and outside of that, what do u have?

Wrong. Post scoring is a lot more complex than you seem to think it is. Shaq has excellent footwork(Definitely unmatched by anyone close to his size in the league right now), constant awareness, and a great scoring instinct. Notice how many "and-1's" that Shaq completes? Has nothing to do with his size...well, maybe a little bit, but he doesn't complete those plays without that court awareness and post instinct. There's just no way. He's also more than just a "decent passer." Three assists per game for his career...virtually identical to Vlade's assist stats(His 5-6 or whatever he had this season is the exception, not the norm...with that many touches in the high post and that many shooters, Shaq and Yao could collect 6 a night also), and Vlade is considered the league's premier passer at the position.

Shaq is immensely talented. Far more so than Yao Ming at similar ages.

    Thank you
the shaq bashing stereotype as a big dumb jock is getting ridiculous

If you want to see an UNTALENTED Shaq. . . SEE STANLEY ROBERTS
    SEE TWO SAMMICHES

    Shaq is VERY Talented

hell . . . take away passing. .what is Jason Kidd?
If you take away a strength in someone's game
then .. yea. . they not talented

If you wanna say who has the worse jump shot . . . .
    ok . . maybe

but the issue with me is. .. WHY OH WHY ARE WE ALWAYS
    TALKING ABOUT OFFENSE . . . . . .

EuroBall . . .All Offense no Defense

Defense takes talent too . . . and Shaq is good at that too

As has been already been pointed out, Shaq probably has the best footwork of any center in the league.

all based on athleticism, not a talent that you hone over time
