Every year, excuses, babying, complimentss, and the word
"potential" have flooded the minds of our young rockets, especially with our Leader. Criticism, especially criticism towards our leader has yet to be directed toward Steve Francis. Year 1 was marked by "He's just a rookie." Fine. Year 2 was "We were the greatest team ever... not to make the playoffs." Ok. Year 3 was the "injury plagued year." Understandable. And now with the rockets still on the outside looking in as the Suns beat the best team in the league to make the playoffs, something many of us thought would be impossible has happend. We all thought their final win would at least come against portland or seattle! Why is it that the Suns were able to finally make it? Stephon marbury. His entire career he has been criticized, the subject of many sports writers' articles on a player with so much talent but without the necessary leadership skills and selflessness to lead a team into the post season. After the Jason Kidd trade, it seemed like all the critics were right. Not any more. Phoenix has made it. While Steve Francis gets voted into the all star game, Marbury claims he is the real allstar and works his way into Atlanta. He has suffered the harsh criticism and has become the player that he needs to be to win through this adversity. Yes it is a blow to a mans ego, but harsh criticism is exactly what these young rockets need, especially their leader, Steve Francis. Maybe this will light a fire under his ass and make him a superstar. Or perhaps. If he does fail, He'll know in his heart that he's not who he thinks he is. And thus, he will relinquish himself to Yao and change his game to suit him. Hopefully, he will take this criticism to heart (I sure hope so), and he becomes the next Stephon Marbury. Yes, you heard me right, Steve. Stephon is better than you. He has more heart and can lead a team. I want you to watch him in the playoffs this summer. Go ahead, sit on your nice leather recliner, watch him. Iwant you to watch Steve Nash, Bibby, and Stockton, all the men that you started over in the all star game. Take it all in and suffer. Become a stronger person and with a focus. Grow up! Forget, the b****es, sweet rides and money and ego. Spend the summer refining your game. Learn how to run a team and figure out what you need to do to help your teamates play better. Please
Blineburry, Feigan, Aldridge and Walton please let steve have it. Get him angry! Stephon give steve a little wink when you run down the court in game 1.
Yes, Criticism and a little humilty is just what the doctor ordered. It worked for Stephon, it will work for Steve
