Does anyone here that criticizes pro athletes actually even try to compete at that level before talking?

The reason I'm asking is because I recently starting training at a local gym I'm there 5 days a week and I'm just doing conditioning and it's INTENSE. So I don't understand how someone on the side who's never even gotten in the ring let alone try to even get in optimal shape can hate and talk bad about people who risk their lives by going in the ring.

And until you learn how to box you really don't know anything about boxing. Little things like footwork that you'd never know by just standing on the outside. Floyd is right Brian Kenny doesn't know anything about boxing because until you've actually done it yourself you have NO IDEA what you're talking about.

This probably applies to all sports btw

I's simple. Just make sure you separate everything in an order to make it easy to label each box. Fragile, clothes, kitchen. You then......ooooh.

Yeah that's about all I know about boxing.

    The whole time we knew
In a couple of years I'd be through
Has boxing been good to you?

:( You're right. I shouldn't even talk about how badly SHAQ misses his free throws. I mean, even if he's getting paid MILLIONS, can pay people to show him how, can get to and from the gym to shoot free throws, should be professional enough to not be intimidated by people chanting "miss!" from the stands, has been playing for more than a decade now, they are still difficult. :( Sorry, I won't talk about how he misses free throws anymore.

    :p

    yo adrian!
I never got into the sport of boxing but my dad is a big fan. I do believe the boxing translates well into the silver screen. Some of my favorite sports films are about boxing, I even enjoyed teen wolf 2!!

i get what you're saying, but you have to use the same logic you're presenting...on your argument.

Just because YOU didn't *really* know about boxing until you got in the ring.. doesn't mean that other people are in the same boat. Maybe other people have picked up that knowledge by watching and analyzing that sport (or other sports), and they just figure things out in a different way than you do.

Basically, if you're saying "how can people assume they know what's going on? I didn't know until I got in the ring"... I'm saying "how can you assume they DON't know just based on your own experience?" You're not in my head or anyone else's..

A male doctor can't experience childbirth, but he can know an awful lot about it. And he can certainly tell the difference between a good one and a bad one.

    I may not know boxing. . . . but i know what I like.

If a think a boxer is dogging it . . it is because the boxers I seen before
didn't seem like they were dogging it .. so
I compare the Good Boxer to the Dogging it Boxer
    and
    make my statement
    Same with any sport.

I criticize McGrady for being a lazy arrogrant prick, because the majority of us, if we were put into that situation... we would work our damn asses off.
