I've been saying from the beginning of the season we needed a leader. SF3 for better or worse was our leader last year and this year it was unclear who our leader was. The leader/captain of the team is usually its best players TMac / Yao but they both seemed to shrug off the responsibilities.

Lately I have seen more direction from Sura and Tmac. Lighting a fire under our guys to play hard / play smart and im quite impressed.

Leadership was the only difference I saw between TMac/Kobe and now the gap is closing.

Watching the Lakers games there was always no question who the leader of that team was. Kobe would be directing people like a general and his players understood what they needed to do.

Most of the season there was no direction from our best players on the floor. I wasnt sure if players were communicating properly and why we lacked intensity for long streches.

Recently it seems Tmac has taken charge and said this is my team. I am the captain and im going to make sure everyone plays there heart out.

    I couldnt be happier.

I agree. Did you see how he was scolding Mutombo for not scoring on his nice pass last night?
