    :rolleyes: i like your explanation to why they are pieces of ****. i'd eat a piece of **** if meant not being able read any more of your posts.

    ditto. i've had nothing but good times with it. friend came over a while back to play his 360 on it. pretty badass. just something extremely important came up and had to get rid of it pretty quick (will post a thread about it later in the hangout). i hate seeing it go... sigh... rox games will be back to normal size. :(

    I've always heard good things about Samsungs and 3 of the last 4 TVs I've attempted to purchase have been Samsung.

    Everything I have ever purchased with the Samsung name on it has been crap. Same goes for anyone else I know. I have a Samsung hdtv and after about 3 months that I got it it had this green and purple spot in the corner. Hasn't disappeared since. I had a samsung camcorder, after 2 years it just stopped working, it was lightly used and well taken care of. 2 samsung dvd burners just stopped burning and would only burn at 2x... 3 samsung harddrives just stopped working suddenly. a samsung dvd recorder I had just stopped recording or it would take foreverrrrr to even read a disc.

    I could probably keep going but I will stop, I have never had good experiences with them, but I am glad you guys have.

    fair enough. thx for responding back reasonably btw. :) it's only fair for buyers to hear someone's experience with a manufacturer. i researched before getting the lcd tv and believe i posted in a couple of the threads in the hangout before purchasing. love the darn thing.

    also, it "sounds" like some of your experiences were early on in your purchases... not sure. i've had this since februrary (last day of feb) of this year and no probs. ALSO... (had to do the pryuen thingee) to the person who purchased this tv, i also purchased a two year service agreement in the event that anything goes wrong. i know service plans are generally a ripoff, but with an investment like this... just wanted to be careful. i'll give you the papers for that as well when you pick it up today.

    Thats a lot of problems...did you try returning the item to the manufacturer or have a warranty?

    lots of things...i bought a samsung lcd for my room about 3 years ago. It was between that and a Sony, but I decided to roll with Samsung cuz of the usb port. Ive used that usb port to view vacation pics off a digital camera, watch downloaded movies off an external HD, and they actually had a Firmware update for the tv on samsung's website that fixed a common problem with the TV...

    Im gonna buy a big screen (projection) soon, and it's gonna be sony cuz it has a 120hz refresh rate...if only it had a usb port :(

    oh wow. that is cool. if only A/V recievers came with usb ports. since soon theyre gonna have downloadable HD movies.
