Know of any good ones? Depending on the price to repair, I might just get a new one.

    Your input is appreciated.

You know, my kid threw the Wii remote into one of ours, and I looked into repairing it.

It was cheaper to get a new one........but being the skin flint that I am, I kept the old one in the garage, and scoured EBay for almost a year until I found the exact model with a different problem.

Bought it for $50 and married the two together to get an extra LCD TV.

So, we bought a new one, and fixed the old one.

How hard was it to switch the screen?

Also, I think there are folks out there who buy broken TVs. I cracked the screen on my 32 inch Samsung and still haven't firgued out what to do with it.

Well, it's not a cracked screen or anything externally wrong with it. It won't stay on, so I'm guessing there's something wrong with the power supply or the board all together.

A very common problem with TV's in general, and usually quite expensive to fix. Then again, usually any replacement part on HDTV's are expensive to replace.

The screen is a NIGHTMARE to switch......so the other one had a power supply problem, that was easy...so I did that.

47" Toshiba Regza. It's an '07 model, if I recall correctly.

I've tried a few troubleshooting methods I've found online. Unplugging it and all. Basically, everything short of taking the sucker apart.

Like I said, if it goes passed a certain price, I probably won't even bother.
