I just bought myself a new 19" LCD monitor off NewEgg and I'm totally loving life. I used to have a crappy 17" CRT with a semi-fuzzy screen, and I can't believe how great this new monitor is... (I've got a nice dual-screen LCD setup at work, but for some reason I was really slow to come around to a nice monitor at home) Anybody else made the switch?
What brand is that 19", and how much did you fork over for it, DarkHorse ? Are prices really doing better now??
I went from a 15" CRT (<14" viewable screen) to a 20" LCD. Best money I ever spent. At the time it cost me almost $800, now you can sometimes find a 20" Dell LCD for less than $400.
2 Westinghouse 37" LCD monitors here at the office......for Video conferencing and gaming.... THEY ROCK !! HDTV baby ! DD
made the switch from 17" CRT to a 19" Samsung LCD. I've never realized that I had a big computer desk until now.
I've been using a 19" LCD from Dell for a few years now. One of my best purchases ever, not counting the night with those twin hookers in Amarillo, and of course... beer.
I got a cheap 19inch KDS LCD monitor from Walmart for $250 and its the best purchase I've made in terms of qauality, price and size/space. It totally beats my 15inch HP crt in everyway. My brother who has a 35inch crt HDTV, was suprise how clear and bright my new monitor was when playing the 360 in HD when compared to his. All this talk about crt and plasma being the best is BS.
I waited for 2 hours in front of the Staples on Black Friday. Almost froze to death, but in turn snatched a 19'' Samsung LCD for $99. Baby it was the best thing I've ever got, even better than my religion... jk. Playing Rome Total War on it, and enjoying the simply amazing graphics.
I've been using a 19" Sony for over 4 years now, but now it's my second monitor (have TV on it usually ). My main monitor is a Sony SDM P234 23".
The one I got is a Rosewill. I paid $260 plus it came with a $40 mail in rebate. So in theory I paid $220 for it. They're always having good deals on NewEgg.com, so I just watch them every day and read all the reviews until I find something I like. This seemed to be a good choice for an entry level LCD, and no one has complained about having difficulty getting the rebate.
I have 3, 20 inch lcd's all next each other. Two of them are hooked up to one computer and the other is for another backup computer.
Hello there, same monitor set up buddy!! I have a 17" Daewoo on my main PC and my back up PC shares a 15" Dell and a 15" Samsung. All three monitors kick total butt! I am impressed with the sharpness of each one!
I have a couple of 20" LCD's and will be getting a 3rd 20" within the next couple of months probably. I have a 19" and 17" CRT each doing nothing at the moment that I need to use somehow or get rid of.
