If you are independent the please abstain. I am talking broad freaking strokes here. Do you believe that conservatism or liberalism is better for our country. I want to know who is who in here.
conservative, I don't think a changing of the guard is right for this team, nor do I want a coaching change. Screw the rest of the country. All that matters is the Rockets. Oh, but I do like my gordita's with spicey sauce applied liberally. and Chance, do you still want a ticket for the April 12th game, or are you being conservative with your budget.
I'm liberal mainly because I cannot stand the conservative way of governing. Call me crazy, but I don't feel that punishing the poor and middle class, depriving blacks and gays of rights, favoring the wealthy and corporations, and burning international bridges is good for our Nation.
I'm not sure a blanket statement could cover my feelings. In many ways in my own life, I am conservative. Many of my choices in what I do are conservative. But, in the broaders sense of the ideological concept, I'm liberal because I don't believe that what is right for me is necessarily right for everyone or every situation. I always want to reduce my overall tax burden but I don't necessarily see reduction of overall taxation as a good thing in all situations. I, personally, could never see myself doing drugs but I think mar1juana should be legalized. I would never burn a flag but I think that right should be available to us. I want smaller government but I also want better support systems for the impoverished and I do not believe business or private institutions can or will do it if the government does not. I punched liberal but I just think that is too simplistic of a definition to be accurate.
I like it bigtexxxxxxxxxxxxxxx... that is funny. I punched conservative b/c to be quite honest... I am.
It was a close call, but I ended up punching "liberal." But for the record, I don't have a ponytail and I never eat granola or muesli or quiche for chrissakes!
I voted conservative, but in some ways I am socially liberal. I am against the death penalty and for drug and prostitution legalization. I guess I see my social views as split between conservative and liberal, but being a fiscal conservative swings me to that side of the fence. Oh, and unlike liberal rimrocker I do have a ponytail.
I voted liberal because every time we have one of these, the liberals get together and vote conservative to make us think the bbs is evenly split.
Funny you say that, b/c I always thought they were doing that as well. To me its kinda like a guy saying another guy is good looking. We may be straight as an arrow, but others will say that we "are not comfortable in our sexuality" to compliment other men. I am no doubt certain of where I stand on the issues, I just could not find it in myself to click the other side to skew the numbers. I am glad you are confident enough in your conservatism to help even out the numbers
I'm a conservative because I think this country is a helluva good place and I want to keep it thataway.
I don't know that is a tough question. I hate to take a stand on something so controversial. I have some areas in which I'm liberal and some areas in which I'm conservative. I guess you could say that when it comes to politics I have some liberal positions, but labels are so limiting and besides I don't agree with everything that every liberal has ever written or said about politics. Therefore, I guess you would have to put me in the happy middle where all good things are and all the really intelligent people are.
I voted "liberal" because I am a crazy radical leftist. Although, I am conservative in that I think 13 year old girls do not need to be wearing bare-stomached tank tops with low low rise pants so that their thong shows above the waisteline. Actually, that statement holds true for people of all ages. Of course, I don't think that is something that should be legislated...
I didn't vote because splitting this country in two by making citizens choose between two adjectives that don't have anything to do with their original meaning is bad for the country.
I voted liberal, although I dress like a young republican. (It's a disquise, see, so the stuffed shirts will open up to me, see, so I can foil their evil plans, see, mmmyah.)
