Just saw this report coupled with his mugshot on msnbc. At 50 yrs old or whatever he is, he still looks like one mean SOB. GUILTY...
I have always wondered why this guy gets a pass on everything. Baseball guys use some steroids, and they are shunned like devils. LT is coked up his whole career, which probably played a large part in his frenzied ability to rush the passers he played against, and nobody says anything while he merrily waltzes into the HoF. I don't get it.
I've never seen a more guilty looking person in my life. That looks like a disgusting freak of nature.
"Which brings me to my second point, kids. Don't do crack." Name that movie. Difficulty: easy GRENDAL +Rep Spoiler
Well it sure as heck didn't HURT his performance did it? You don't think being coked to the gills during games may have made him more pain-tolerant, hyper and amped up into a frenzy to kill the QB?
Umm, I think you mean "wouldn't". Unless there's some evidence of LT being tooted up during games I don't know about. And yeah, I can't imagine that being coked up during a football game (something that requires focus, concentration, hand-eye-coordination, timing, reflexes) would help very much... if not hurt you instead. Besides, the immediate effects of cocaine (hyperness, elevated heart rate, etc) wouldn't last past the first quarter...
How sad, this guy is a waste of life and would have been a waste of talent if he'd ever been caught on crack/coc or done something stupid like this back in the day. Now that he's not a football star his mistakes are finally catching up to him.
Taylor was beloved by the NY Media, he spoke his mind, and then he went out there and unleashed hell on opposing QBs every Sunday. Teams still try to draft the next LT, but for every DeMarcus Ware there is a Vernon Gholston. LT was the most feared pass-rusher in the game for the duration of his career. Add a Championship Trophy on top of all that and you'll get a guy who despite his shady past has been relatively treated well by the media.
Ok well I am certainly no expert on cocaine, but even still, there's no question he has received a virtual pass on all of that, and while I can't tell you any specific details, I am pretty sure it came out that he was on the nose candy throughout his career, although, why anyone would suspect he would actually be on it during actual games - well, I guess that's just a preposterous idea.
