with all the commercials on tv, I'd think they were doing better than most dealerships.

sucks, I have a brother in law that works in finance, and a nephew in sales who just had a baby and bought a house, and they are bumming hard.

another 200 there just like them... some of them been there for decades.

Sad, lot of that going around. :(

Can't help but think it's the greedy bastards on wall street, in the finance industry, and in banking that rode their own fake manufactured waves of corruption and self entitlement that have caused ripples that reach coast to coast hurting families, and all of them crying to get free money from our taxes, while spending extravagantly and receiving bonuses.

    Sick.

When I was a kid, I always thought it was called "Larns" Marshall because of Ray Childress.

Huntsville's largest employer would probably be TDCJ

That's pretty unbelievable and devastating to the town of Hempstead. There are no other jobs there.

That's pretty sad news for a lot of people.

So the largest Chevy Volume dealer in the USA shutdown last year (Bill Heard) and now Lawrence Marshall.. Man if I was the other Chevy dealers around Houston I would be so stoked that we would be receiving some more business..

Yep - this recession is the worst since the end of the seventies, probably worse. And I keep wondering if this country really is equipped to pick itself up afterwards. We've gone from a production economy to a pure consumer economy, and that's not sustainable.

I heard a rumor today that apparently Childress and Robert Finger were very VERY close friends and that after Finger died, Childress, mentally, went downhill.
