What kind do you have if you mow your own grass. I have an semi-old snapper (7 years) but it bogs and leaves uncut grass in the thick stuff. I am tired of it and am thinking of just getting a serious commercial grade mower. Like an exmark or a Scag brand.

Anyone have any experience with these and how does your mower work?

Craftsman with a Honda quiet motor. It still works like a charm and you better not be posting this to JINX mine to malfunction tomorrow.

Your machine shouldn't be bogging down at any time, and you shouldn't be cutting tall or thick grass or brush with a lawnmower. If you're doing that, make sure you aren't mulching or your blades and motor will work twice as hard. Have you checked and changed the blade or even sharpened it?

Haven't cut my grass in years.

    Hire folks to do it.

But, if I was ever to be in the market, I'd like one that could mulch. I always hated emptying out the clippings in the bag.

Take your blades to a hardware store & have them sharpened. That should help. Also, change the spark plug and oil every once in a while.

Yeah I sharpened them before I mowed the first time this year. I even used my hand file instead of a grinder. I have the mulching blades on but the discharge chute is on so grass goes out if it wants.

I have a Honda harmony push mower and a Husqvarna riding mower. I really love the Honda with its mulching blades. It's the best push mower I've ever had. Nothing has ever come close to the quality of that Honda........and Saint Arnold is a must.

OK guys. I am down to 2 choices. I am not asking for any advice based on anything practical or performance based, just pure looks.

    Aren't those commercial grade?

Why not get a Craftsman or a Honda from Sears?
