Hello all, I've recently begun to take learning the Spanish language very seriously, and one of my life goals is to learn Spanish well enough to be able to read Gabriel Garcia Marquez's works in the original Spanish. I'm also very passionate about music, and when I've come across the traditional/folk styles of Mexican music and Peruvian music, I am always totally enamored. My interests are not wholly involved within those two nations alone, however. I was hoping that some of the Spanish speakers on this board, of which I'm sure there must be a respectable amount, could give me some direction on what folk musicians would be the best to listen to (the music being clear in its lyrics is important, but I consider the musicality to be just as vital), and I embrace the suggestions of many different styles. I hope someone can help me out here.
