    My rough translation.

Reporter Yang Yi: This is the last game in 2002 and You just got 16 points and 8 boards. Did you play with your full strength?

Yang Ming: Our parimeter shooters are going crazy. I don't even need to play hard inside. I got 10 points in the 3rd quarter. How was the dribble behind my back? If I got more strength on my arm, I would have slamed it for 3 points play.

YY: Are you weaker compared to Bucks PF Mason?

YM: Mason kept pushing me outside like crazy. But I didn't feel any threat from him. He never shoot. Just defend, and just using his body. He is like a big wooden blank. Bateer is like a small steel plate.

YY: Your pass is like a driver head. Why are you keep using the no-look over-the-head pass?

YM: Hehe. Last time it was for Moochie. This time it is for Cutino. But I like this one better, because Cutino slammed it. After the game I told Moochie that Cutino played much better than him (after receiving the pass). Moochie was mad. He kept scratching his hair.

    YY: How is your stamina?

YM: Now I am eating the "Winter Worm Summer Herb" my dad brought. That thing looks just a meat ball, with a worm in the front and a big tail in the back. My mom cooked it in a soup. Fortunately it doesn't have any taste. I just swallow it with the soup. Everything is for basketball.

The above translation is a good one.

I have done my own. I do not want to waste it so just put it here.
    -------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reporter: So this is the last game of 2002. 16 pts and 8 bds, looks like the sharp sword is not out of the sheath?

Yao: Well, the perimeter shots have gone insane: every shot was made. This is Rockets, unstoppable when they have gone insane, it turned out a litttle easier inside for me, it is quite good to win this way. I got 10 pts in the 3rd quarter, how about my beautiful behind back driving. Had I used more arm strength, I would have gone with the ball (into the busket), and it is a 3 pts.

reporter: compared with Bucks PF Mason, you are weaker in strength, aren't you?

Yao: Mason just pushed me outwards like crazy. But I did not regard him as a threat. He just defended instead of shooting, using only the body, unlike Butler (spelling?) who used both body and force. He is a wooden block, but Butler is a steel board.

Reporter: No matter how big a wooden block he is, your passing is just like a drill bit. And it is over the head passing. How come you kept on doing this?

Yao: hehe, you mean I am addicted to it. It was the same as the last one. The last one was to Moochie, this one was to Cutino. But I feel this one is better, becuase Cutino slammed it in, and moochie only laid it in. So I said to moochie after the game:'cutino is much better than you', and moochie got mad, scratching his head full of tangled hair.

Reporter: After this game, you have a break of 3 days before the Warriors game, how do you feel about your current physical strength?

Yao: I have read your "over the limit", now i am recovering gradually. My current daily diet has the "winterworm summerherb" (cordyceps sinensis) my dad brought from Shanghai, that thing looks like a worm, silkworm-like in the front and a long tail in the back. My mom stews it in the soup. Fortunately it has no strange taste and I swollow the soup in one shot. Well, it is all for the basketball.

Reporter: It is really alreaday 2003. In the last NEW YEAR, there were still many things unsetlled, lots of doubts and despises. Now things are all different?

Yao: I feel nothing different. I am still the same Yao Ming, it is only that others look at me now from different perspectives. Perhaps others feel that 0 pts and 2 boards cannot be from the same person who does 30 pts and 18 boards. But in my view, this is only an inside, implicit change. Now I get paid many times more than I got in the CBA, but I still live the same way as before, eating the same common food and wearing the same common clothes as before. All are this kind simple, aren't they?

Reporter: Would you like to Say something to your fans?

Yao: Wish them happy new year. All in all, I appreciate their watching me play. Hope to get more praise when I play good in 2003, and less curse if I play poor.

actually, I like the last paragraph.
A: would you like to say something to your fans?
YM: Happy new year to them first. We experienced too much happiness and sadness this year together. I got CBA championship, been drafted in 1st position, joined NBA, as well as our national team got 12th in WBC, missed champion in 14th Asian Games(Busan, Korea). Anyway, I appreciate their watching my play. Hope to get more praise when I do well in 2003, and less curse if I play poor.

This is the real YM, never been psychosomatic and never been controlled by stats, score, win or lose.
