"... rookie revelation Carl Landry remains out with a sore knee and may not be ready for Sunday's showdown against the Lakers, who lead the Rockets and Spurs by one game for the best record in the West. Adelman said he couldn't offer a timetable but that they didn't want to rush him back." http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/dailydime?page=dime-080313 This makes it sound like no Landry tomorrow night. Do you think he plays on Sunday?
If he is not ready for the Laker game, then I will start to get worried. They say there is no damage, but how long does it take a sore knee to get better? I guess I just have little faith in the Rockets doctors right now, so I keep imagining the worst. I don't have much faith that we beat the Lakers without Carl.
Carl will be ready for the Lakers. I just can't see him not playing this Sunday. Even if he does not play the Rockets will find a way to win.
I predict he will come back and promptly dunk on Ronny Turiaf, after a lesson by Luther Head. <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/NivsZrbQZmQ&hl=en"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/NivsZrbQZmQ&hl=en" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>
I thought they did do a MRI already. I think they're just playing it safe with the guy. After losing Yao for the season and given Landry's history of knee problems, it's better to be safe than sorry. The conspiracy theorist in me thinks the medical staff and Rockets management are keeping him out to drive down his asking price in the offseason.
My guess is the swelling still hasn't gone down. You can't see everything with an MRI...........might have to be scoped.
I wish he would come back against the bobcats. I don't know if he will be effective if goes in cold against the lakers.
Sunday? We need him tomorrow. I can see the same Interior problems we had against the Hawks, easily happening against the Bobcats. One word... Okafor
Its hard to lose the shooting touch if your shot of choice is a dunk. I think they want to wait for the swelling to go down and do another MRI its difficult to see everything with a knee holding fluid.
i second whoever said "extra cautious" is the right choice. if i had to bet, i would say that we won't see him for awhile actually, at least a couple weeks.
Just increase Scola and Deke's minutes by 10 minutes and give Harris about 10 minutes and we'll be ok.
