This is going to get interesting.

The latest NBADraft.net mock has the same questions that I have had in dealing with our Mock Madness - that is, where is Morrison going to go?

Without a concensus #1 pick, and with Toronto tongue-ing Bargnani no matter what, it makes for some weird situations.

We know that the Raps want AB, whether they are picking #1 or lower. We know that Portland really wants Morrison.

The big problem is Charlotte. As we get closer to the draft, maybe Charlotte will start to come into better focus, but right now, it seems to be a toss-up between Roy and Morrison. And if Portland can't be certain that AM will be there at 4, they are going to have to seriously try to make a swap with Toronto in order to ensure they get their guy. Toronto would play, because AB has flatly stated that he won't play for anyone other than Toronto (does he have brain-damage or something?). Toronto might walk out of this with the guy they wanted all along, plus a future #1 from Portland as well.

Aldridge looks like a pretty good bet at #2, and if Portland grabs Morrison, that leaves Roy for Charlotte, and the Raps grab AB at #4, then everything else shakes out normally.

But it's going to make Atlanta very interesting, because a lot of teams are going to want Gay, and the Hawks can trade down some and still have their pick between Marcus and Foye. But if somebody behind us leapfrogs Minny to get Gay, then Minny freaks and maybe trades down as well, maybe with someone in love with Shelden or Foye.

Depending on what Boston does, as Thomas looks to be he one to slide to at least #7, we may wind up having to pick between Marcus, Tyrus, or Brewer/Carney. All three could help us, but I still lean to Brewer, even perhaps over Thomas.

And of course this all depends on what the lowly Bobcats decide to do at #3.

    Getting more and more interetsing...

They don't put account into team needs. It's only the ranking of players, I doubt Morrison goes #1.

Chad Ford is claiming before all is said and done that O'Bryant will probably move into the top 5 of the this draft as we get closer to the June 28th. That would really change things up alot.

For once, I hope Chad Ford is right.

O'bryant moving into the top 5 would make my week. Getting Marcus Williams or Randy Foye into the top 7 as well would make my summer.

I doubt Aldridge is a lock at #2, yet. Rumors were that Tyrus Thomas was a lock there and now there's talk of the Bulls wanting Roy.

I don't think it will happen, but I think Morrison is the best fit for the Raps. If you move Bosh to C, Charlie V to PF, Morrison at SF, MoPete to SG, and hopefully pickup a good PG, you have a very good team w/ a ton of fire power.

I think the whole "Raps want AB" is a smokescreen by Colangelo. While the kid has a ton of potential, it's just too risky to pick him at #1.

The big problem is Charlotte. As we get closer to the draft, maybe Charlotte will start to come into better focus, but right now, it seems to be a toss-up between Roy and Morrison. [/QUOTE]

Don't forget to throw Gay into the mix. He supposedly had a very good workout for the Cats last week and impressed Bickerstaff and crew.

I think he was refering to nbadraft.net

Adam might go #1 or not but i think toronto will do everything possible to move down to say #4 or 5 and get up extra pieces.
I could see atlanta doing this, this way they get a big man which they need(have choice of any one they want) to shape out their young nucleus. Then toronto can either get marcus williams or maybe even Bargani falls to them at #5 plus they get extra pieces to work with.

mock drafts are like picking lottery numbers. for the past few years nbadraft have been the most accurate/luckiest of the bunch.

No, there was this site which showed all the mock sites and it did some math stuff to show which was most accurate. Draftexpress was 21 or something and NBAdraft had 30 (the more it is, the less accurate you were). So Draftexpress is the most accurate.

When was the last time a white guy went #1 overall in two consecutive drafts?

IMO NBAdraft.net just moves the choices around periodically so that people will return to see how the rankings have changed.

The only way Morrison would go first is if teams like Boston traded up to take him. However, that is unlikely since they don't need to go all the way to #1 to do so. He has a better chance of going #2 if Chicago trades down and even better chance at #3. I don't believe he will fall farther than #3.

I just can't see Bosh at center. He is a great player, but he is at too much of a weight disadvantage for center. What is intriguing would be to see Toronto trade down for a PG and #4 to get a PG and Patrick O'Bryant. Then you have a young front court consisting of Bosh, O'Bryant and Villanueva with say Jarrett Jackrunning the show from the PG position and Mo Pete handling the SG position.
