I can't imagine Pryzbilla still being on the board. Why would the Cavs pass on him if they are willing to tke Tsakalidis, who is a little less poilshed in my opinion. So you could porbably replace Pryzbilla's name with Tsakalidis, cause wouldnt Pryzbilla go first.

I think th emost intriguing debate is that between Johnson or Moiso. On the one hand, Johnson is a very promising swingman from the D.C. area who has great athletic ability and can shoot well. However, if he cant transition well into an NBA 3, why would the Rockets want him. They already have two 2's who are really good. An allstar 3 they could use, but can Johnson play the 3?

Moiso is also an extremely talented and tantilizing prospect. Reports have him measuring over 7 feet, hes got great athleticism and is left handed. THat could give us two left handed solid players (Mobley too) and being left handed does often suprise a lot of people. However, the knock on Moiso is does he have the heart, will he turn into another Cato (in which case I don't want him) or another Garnett (but maybe an inch or two taller-amazing).

Only the Rockets know or can try and evaluate the true talent of these players. I am really high on JOhnson, but since we are so stacked in the backcourt I would really like Moiso. I would go with him and polish Cato some more. Can you imagine eventually a strating lineup of Cato (who at the least will develop some offensive moves and become hopefully a Theo Ratliff defensive type) at Center and Jerome Moiso ( a possible KG type) at power forward. With Shandon, Cuttino and Francis in the backcourt that is probably the most athletic lineup in all of basketball. I just cant see us starting KT at PF, we need a player there.

If Atilla Pryzabilla is available at #9, and can live up to the pile of defense and boarding that he's supposed to, he'll be a steal.

See, JayZ understands the lefthandedness thing [IMG]

Dermarr will be Jalen Rose, an inch taller, twice the shooter, but not left handed. [IMG]

I want the #10 pick, see some other thread for my dream of a team with Moiso and Dermarr on it, yummy.

Jalen Rose played point guard in college for the 2nd best team in the country, and has played the position a great deal in the NBA. From what I hear Johnson has nowhere near that kind of ball-handling skill.

Freak-Dermarr has very good ballhandling. He could very easily step in if Francis was injured and play PG for stretches.

The latest draft reports & the news report from Clevlenad stating that the Cavs will buy out Tsakalidis contract and pick him with #8 is going to give the rockets a tough choice.

It appears that we may have the following for a choice (depending on orlando & atlanta)

    Miller
    Przybilla
    Johnson
    Alexander
    Moiso

I wonder how the clutch draft madness would vote on those 5. Personally, if we cant trade up, I hope the Rockets find a way to pick up a few other mid round picks via trade.

That is excellent news for the Cavs and especially us. It frees up a lot of questions on that number eight. This will make CD and the crew want to press for number ten even more.

at 6'9, if he can't play SF, then he's not worth it....but he can, and it'll probablyy be where he'll start especially if houston picks him......moiso will be great, but Wizard has a huge salary jump and getting Johnson to play there for roughly 25 minutes will help us unload walt....as for a Power forward, KT and Los AND T-MASS are good enough to hold up for one season, i'm confident we can sign a better one next season.....on the other hand, if we take moiso, the free agent SFs suck next year, AND we won't be able to unload walt since we need his playing time at the 3......

by the way, i heard dermarr is terrible defensively.......true?

Heard rockets assistant Jim Boylan on radio yesterday say that Moiso has been mentioned as high as #6 to Atlanta. You got to envision how good would Moiso would be with a point guard like Steve Francis dishing to him.

Don't you belive that the Rockets are going to take who they think is going to be the best defense player and passer between Moiso or Demar. In one of the last pre game interviews with Rudy he was asked what he was going to try for in the draft he said he was going to try for a defense type player. Did not expect the player to start but to get more minutes as the year went along

A fair amount of people in this forum seem to think DerMarr is a poor defender, but my opinion is that DerMarr's defense is underrated. The reason this type of evaluation of him is coming up is b/c he did not work as hard as he should have at the defensive end last season. However, I think in time as he matures, his defensive game should be solid as he possesses the long arms, lateral movement and good instincts on the defensive end. When the Rockets begin trying to trap and press more, a long armed player like Johnson should be key to their plans.
