From ESPN Insider: The Astros recently offered the Rockies right-hander Scott Elarton, outfielder Daryle Ward and a prospect for Astacio and center fielder Juan Pierre. Colorado GM Dan O'Dowd, however, didn't want to include Pierre. Those talks could be revisited, though. ummmm......NO!!! that move sucks!!! scott elarton could easily bounce back and become the type of #1 starter the stros want. however, the addition of Juan Pierre would be great. then we dont need to sign alou(use the money for pitching), move hidalgo to right, and put juan in center!!! ------------------ What is the difference between Kelvin Cato and Macey Gray?? Hell, I'd try to get rid of Hidalgo for some pitching. As much as I'd hate to lose Elarton, I'd support this trade. ------------------ When you make an assumption, you make an ass out of Uma Thurman.
Since Astacio hasn't been traded yet, it looks like the Rockies are going to have a bidding war on their hands today. I hope the Astros don't get desparate! ------------------
