I realize that many are not pleased by the Rocket's start, but one thing that might calm everyone's spirits is to compare this year's start to last year's...I'm not sure what their record was at this time last year... I just remember a lot of agony. What was their record, let's say, after 10 games last year?? wasn't it something absolutely pitiful?? So, this year we've already started up the mountain.. ------------------
After 10 games we were 2-8 and finished the month of November at 4-11. We still have a ways to go, but should see at least a 3-6 game swing in the wins category for this November. ------------------ Only in America....do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries, and a diet coke.
We'll have to go 7-1 the rest of the way to have a six game swing in the win column. ------------------ Kenny Thomas had a foul called on him in the Western Conference Finals.
all right! Another win! Now 5-5 isnt the prettiest record around, but it sure beats the hell out of 2-8...I say that's progress! ------------------
No Doubt ! this is way better then last yr's 2-8 start ! let's give them credit ! ------------------ Mind is the fore-runner of conditions. Mind is chief; and they are mind-made. If, with an impure mind, one speaks or acts, then pain follows one even as the wheel, the hoof of the ox. Mind is the fore-runner of conditions. Mind is chief; and they are mind-made. If, with a pure mind, one speaks or acts, then happiness follows one even as the shadow that never leaves.
Only two wins in the month of november last year and our schedule is nearly exactly the same (2 games against the Lakers, Milwaukee home game, timberwolves). Neither Barkley or Hakeem were hurt at this time as well. That's why I keep thinking about our progress last year at this time and it is so much more apparent that we are hitting our stride better this year. I have no doubt the Rockets will be in the Playoffs. No doubt.
Wow! Thanks RocketPimp for those that record. For whatever reason, I did not remember us doing that poorly early last year. This is very encouraging. It is hard to deny that we have improved from last year. Not only is our record better, but we have beaten the Lakers, so they are not just pushover wins. I gotta tell ya, I am excited about this year! ------------------ She hates testicles, thus limiting the men she can admire to Democratic candidates for president. -- John Greenway, "The American Tradition", on feminist Elizabeth Gould Davis
